Directly opposite the beach, and with more than 180 degree views, this is a place to relax, put your feet up and enjoy life as it should be. With four bedrooms, sleeping up to 9 people in total, it is ideal for two families to share.
The large deck makes a whole extra living space, with comfortable outdoor furniture, a table - with sun umbrella - and chairs, and a barbeque. Enjoy the stunning ocean views, drinking your coffee as you watch the sunrise, or sipping your wine as you watch the sunset.
Upstairs are two bedrooms, a king and a queen, a bathroom with a large (1200 x 900) shower, and a fully equipped kitchen, dining and living areas. The shower, with a waterfall head in addition to the sliding head, is a lovely way to start - or finish - the day! This is a home where you can sit on the deck - or inside on the comfortable window seat if the weather is not so great - and read a magazine or enjoy the views, or you can cross the road and have a swim or a walk, or play with the family on the sand. When you get back from the beach you can rinse off in the hot and cold outdoor shower before heading inside to relax.
Downstairs is self contained, with a large double bedroom ( 2 single beds can easily be converted to a king using a super king fitted sheet) with an ensuite bathroom containing a separate bath (ideal for bathing the babies) and shower. The adjoining studio room has a single bed, a bunk with single above and double below, and a small kitchenette with fridge, toaster, jug and coffee plunger. Note that the studio connects to the double bedroom by a large barn door, and access to the bathroom from here is through the double bedroom.
The beach house has been equipped for the children as well as adults. There are beach games, outside games, board games and books, as well as a smart tv and video player, and the property has an enclosed back yard.
Mobile coverage is good, and the beach house has free wifi.
Warm and comfortable, the house is set up to make the most of the wonderful position. The upstairs kitchen is neat and compact, with a dishwasher and microwave, and is well equipped with coffee plungers, a Nespresso machine, cooking utensils and plenty of cutlery and crockery. A BBQ on the deck will probably be the centre of activity in the evening.
The house is easy walking distance to the Ohope Club, where members of affiliated clubs can have a meal or a drink, or you can go to the village for coffee or a meal. The house is about equidistant (3 km each way) between the village and the dairy/licensed cafe/takeaway shop at the port, where there is also a more formal restaurant at the wharf.
The monthly Ohope Craft Market is next to the Ohope Club, so it's an easy walk, even returning with your fresh veges and home made fudge, along with all sorts of plants and wonderful craft souvenirs to take home. In season, the big Ohope water slide, on the way to the market, provides thrills for all ages as it winds down the hillside.
