Direct access (3 to 5 minutes walk) to both Kaiteriteri and Little Kaiteriteri. You will enjoy being able to leave your car at the house and avoid parking congestion at the beach, walking to each beach off-road through the native bush if you choose.

Unrestricted Beach Views

Rustic, quiet, elevated and comfortable with excellent amenities and first class view of beach. Easy walk to village. Can recommend and would stay again.

Fantastic stay with stunning views

We cannot fault our stay here. Ellie is an amazing host who thinks of everything - even for our 1 year old. The location is perfect and we had everything we needed for a fabulous 3-night stay. Wouldn’t hestitate to recommend to anyone wanting to visit Kaiteriteri. Thank you for the perfect start to our NZ trip

What an amazing spot

This is an incredible spot for a family getaway. Easy walk down to both beaches, great facilities and amazing views. We will be back for sure!

This was the home of New Zealand fiction writer Michael Henderson, first New Zealand Master of Fine Arts graduate of the University of Iowa Writers’ Workshop, whose books can be enjoyed in the house.

Why they chose this property

Five generations of the family have lived in the area and visited Kaiteriteri Beach from earliest days when the road was just a track.

What makes this property unique

The house was built in 1997 on the bare section bought in 1970 and has not changed hands in that time. It gives a comfortable and authentic holiday experience and does not simply transport the visiting guests to another suburban setting.
