Debbie Ennis purchased this house in 2007
Because it's quintessential Vermont at it's best.
Stayed with dear friends for a reunion getaway. The house is large enough for everyone to have private space. Beds and furnishings are very comfortable. The kitchen is exceptionally well organized and lacks for nothing. Woodstock is an amazing area with something for everyone. We spent time planning our return.
This beautiful house was so well equipped and spacious, that we wished for nothing. This was the perfect place to
slow down and relax with family. We felt comfortable enough to let the kids go to the general store by themselves.
Believe me this was a big hit! The pond at the Kedron Valley Inn was also favorite. The yard was perfect for a soccer
match and to sit by the fire pit at night to toast marshmallows and talk about the day. We thoroughly enjoyed our
stay and if the kids have anything to say about it, we will be back. Thank you Debbie.
A charming Vermont farmhouse with lots of character. There were 8 of us staying in the house and we were all very comfortable. The kitchen has been refurbished and has all the necessary kitchen utensils, dishes, etc. and the appliances are new. We really enjoyed spending a lazy afternoon in the garden with naps in the hammock. The Woodstock Country Store is within walking distance which was so convenient!
I recently stayed at the house for a Dartmouth reunion. The house is lovely and perfect for those who either want to explore Woodstock and surroundings or just enjoy the country with friends. We were travelling back and forth to Hanover NH for our reunion, which is about 30 minutes by car, but Woodstock is very close and has lovely restaurants and activities on the doorstep. The house was extremely clean with plenty of clean linens and a very modern kitchen, spacious communal space and large bedrooms. It's also in a very quiet area (we saw deer during our stay), a few miles outside of Woodstock, but near South Woodstock amenities like the general store. The furnishings are very charming and comfortable - the pictures are true to the experience and Deb made us feel very welcome. Deb made sure we knew how to get to the house and left us a very Vermont welcome gift. We really enjoyed our time reconnecting with friends at the house and would happily recommend it.
We had a lovely stay at Debbie's house-- a large, conveniently located home near the country store and just a short drive away from downtown Woodstock. We especially enjoyed the outdoor spaces and the calm, peaceful setting. Thanks for a wonderful time!
Our family really enjoyed our stay for a family wedding at this beautiful farmhouse built in 1854. The pictures are very true, in fact, I think it is even nicer in person. Deb was very responsive to our every question. The kitchen is great with all of the modern conveniences. The location was nice with a fun general store within walking distance along with an Inn that serves dinner. Highlights were Billings Farm, the movie of the beginnings of Woodstock was very interesting along with the Rockefeller Mansion and the home made ice cream on the farm was delicious. Of course, there is the quaint little town of Woodstock with the Woodstock Inn. The Simon Pearce hand blown glass store in nearby Quechee was also fun. I highly recommend this property!
Set in the pretty village of South Woodstock, with in walking distance of the GMHA...This property is central to the area....Vermont has one of the most vibrant cottage industries in the country and stores are teeming with handcrafted products. You can find crafts people selling anything you might want, from quilts to hand-hooked rugs, maple syrup to salsa. Thankfully, Vermont has largely escaped mass franchising. You could spend your vacation exploring unique stores and restaurants and never go near a shopping mall. Ski-ing and Golf are in abundance in this area, so there is a sport for all seasons.
Located in South Woodstock this property can offer visitors a taste of Vermont's history, culture and small-town charm. The surrounding hills are laced with miles of winding dirt roads, where you can get lost on purpose and enjoy it.
