About the property

Single Family home w/ 3 Bedrooms - 1½ Bathrooms - Sleeps 8

Our Cabin is charming, quaint, and cozy with a shady backyard. It’s perfect for romantic getaways or family vacations. The house is a short 50 feet from the dock where you can watch the sunrise while enjoying your morning coffee. A sandy beach area makes for easy access in and out of the water whether you’re taking out kayaks, boats, or inner tube, or wading in our swimmable lake. There is even a sauna right off the deck with a great view of the lake. We even provide a variety of essential oils to add to the sauna experience! After enjoying the lake, you can relax on the hammock or roast marshmallows at the fire pit. We even provide Fire Wood!

The inside of the house has a very warm and inviting feel that just melts away your stress.

Whether you want to sit by the fire place and read a good book, play board games with family and friends, watch Netflix, or movies from our classic DVD collection, we try to provide all the essentials that will make your vacation as enjoyable as possible.

We provide 5 badges to enjoy our community amenities...pool, beach, and play ground, tennis and basketball courts(even ice skating rink in the winter) which is across the lake by boat or less than a 2 mile drive.

We are a 10 minute drive to Shop Rite, WalMart, restaurants, golf, and more. And 20 minutes(or less) to Camelback (ski/waterpark), Kalahari water parks, The Crossing outlet mall. Part of our “Check-in” instructions is list of over 75 things to do in the area.

If you click on picture 25 of 25 above you will see a video walk through starting at the street, walking through the house and finishing at the water.

About Nick and Jill Frezza

Jill and I live in New Jersey, have 2 kids and have been married since 1989. We believe vacations are precious and want you to stay at a 'home' not just some vacation house.

Nick and Jill Frezza purchased this cabin in 2008

Why Nick and Jill Frezza chose Poconos

We've owned this house since 2008 and we've tried to make it a home away from home. There is something about this house that just makes you kick back. I don't know if it's the style, the beachy-country feel or what...I'm not sure. It's just that way. Our other house(check out HomeAway #3499507) has a completely different feel to it.

What makes this cabin unique

Location, Location, Location. Whether it's boats in the summer or just not having houses in your back yard have a house on the lake makes all the difference.

Guestbook comments from the owner

Thank you so much Nick & Jill for letting us rent your Pocono house. We had an outstanding "Girls Weekend" (2/6 thru 2/8/09). The house is so nice and cozy and clean! It was so peaceful sitting on the deck (yes - even in the snow) and taking long walks around the development. It's definitely the best house we've rented yet and it was unanimous that we will be back again. (I may even try to squeeze a fall weekend in - would love to see the fall foilage) You were such a pleasure to deal with - very responsive!! I would definitely recommend renting this house.

A perfect getaway spot

  • 5 of 5

It was the perfect way to spend our 18th anniversary. Total peace and quiet. We should warn you that the lake can hypnotize you and make you not want to go back to work!

Everything we needed was there and we were completely comfortable. We had a blast paddling the kayak around and our dogs were fascinated by the ducks and geese and loved wading in the clear, clean water. We enjoyed beautiful sunrises over the lake and evenings by the fire.

The owners were warm, welcoming, and responded promptly to all email inquiries. They shared photos that gave a complete view of the property and all amenities. So it was an easy decision to choose this rental.

I'd highly recommend this wonderful property to family and friends. Don't forget to check out the nearby Tobyhanna State Park as it is one of the nicest state parks we have seen.

What more could you want!

  • 5 of 5

This house has everything! Coffee on the dock in the morning, kayaking, fishing a short hike and then a nap in the hammock. The sauna was really relaxing, and followed up with a quick swim in the lake. Finish it all up with a cocktail on the dock a sunset and then plunk on the couch with some Netflix streaming....rinse and repeat.

cozy, quaint, totally comfortable and relaxing.

  • 5 of 5

The cabin had everything we needed for a week-long stay. Blankets and pillows were provided (but we brought our own as well). The kitchen is well-stocked with cooking utensils, plates, & cups. The backyard view is wonderful, with a beautiful sunrise over the lake and the neighborhood deer coming by to munch on the grass for breakfast.

We especially like the fact that there is a sandy "beach" slope to get into the lake- not just a dock. We have an older, arthritic dog, and she was able to comfortably walk down into the water for her swims. The few steps up from the backyard to the deck, and the main floor bedroom, were also much appreciated by our pup.

We are already planning our next trip!

July 4th fireworks were spectacular

  • 3 of 5

This home had some upgrades like new carpet and oven range and was spacious. The lake was the reason for our stay so we could swim, kayak and fish. Sadly we found out it was not to be swam in bc of bacteria issues. My friends had to leave our week stay early as a result of the mom getting ill. The fireworks on the 4th were absolutely stunning as we got to watch them from the kayaks! The kitchen was stocked, but guests are expected to bring towels for bathroom, kitchen and paper products like napkins and dish sponge.

Owner's Response: Stacey, I’m glad you enjoyed the spectacular fireworks from our kayaks. This is the second time in 9 years the community beach was closed due to bacteria from the geese and ducks. We were unaware of it this particular time. We've had our water tested near our dock at both houses and the bacteria level was lower than the allowable range. Geese and ducks are more prevalent along the community beach resulting in a higher bacterium count when tested. It's unfortunate that your friends had to leave early due to her mom being ill. However, I don't see how that is relevant to your review since her mom wasn't on vacation at the house with you. As I said in one of your many emails; it says in our listing, contract, and check-in instructions that we do not supply sheets and towels. Our cleaning service does not have time to do laundry with all the houses they take care of. It is a rental home with tons of amenities! It is not a hotel with maid service. We do however keep cleaning products under the sink including, Dawn, Cascade, wipes, spray, trash bags, and sponges. When you couldn't find the sponges I gave you the combination to the large wooden box in the garage for you to get sponges, and paper towels. I also told you that we have out cleaning service put our a roll of paper towels, and toilet paper in each bathroom to get our guests started. Thank you for taking the time to write a review. We take all comments seriously and consider a 3-star review to be an indication that we need to do a better job. Thanks again and we hope you enjoy the rest of your summer. Nick and Jill

Wonderful relaxing time!

  • 5 of 5

Thank you Nick and Jill for a wonderful family vacation and such a welcoming home with many amenities. The lake was beautiful and we enjoyed the use of all your boats! Our teenage son kayaked for hours and took amazing sunset photos. My daughter loved boating with us and especially feeding the fish. We grilled and cooked on the fire pit and relaxed on the glider on the dock. Very rejuvenating. The sauna was awesome too--it helped my eczema more than anything in months! and it also helped my husbands sore feet! Our dog adapted very well (her first vacation with us) and the new scents and wildlife were fun for her and us! Thanks again and we hope to return again. Have a wonderful summer! Sincerely, Cindy and Sean McGrath

Owner's Response: Cindy and Sean, Thank you so much for taking the time to write such a lengthy, descriptive review. We strive to have a welcoming home with lots of amenities for our guests to enjoy. The sunrises and sunsets are beautiful. There's nothing like being lakefront! And I had no idea that the sauna helps eczema, and sore feet :). We have a guest picture link and would love to add your photos if it's okay with you! We would love to have you back again . Have a wonderful summer. Thanks again! Nick and Jill

Fun lakeside place to stay

  • 5 of 5

We wanted a basecamp to explore the Poconos. We actually spent the majority time at the rental. It had everything we'd want to do: boating, relaxing by a fire. A swing seat to sit and watch the lake. The renters did an excellent job with instructions, and we had no problems during our stay. I highly recommend this place.
