Beautiful apartment

We loved this apartment! It is so beautifully decorated and full of light. The terrace just outside of the kitchen is sunny all day. Comfortable beds and beautiful bathroom. The kitchen had everything we could ask for.

The location is very convenient: a short metro ride to the center and just over thr bridge to Donauinsel for my morning running. Plenty of nice local restaurants nearby and Prater practically next door.

Tastefully decorated apartment on the Danube, uncluttered, including all necessary for comfort, 2 very short subway stations to the center and 2 very short stations to the Vienna International Center. We were 2 adults and loved it.

Excellent roomy, very attractive, comfortable and well fit out space

Loved this property! We were here for six days and it was our hub for walking Vienna as well as day trips outside City. The gracious Karin met us at the apartment and gave a thorough explanation of the property. She left adequate things like oil/vinegar/coffee/tea and chocolate! I had been touring the EU for weeks staying in very nice hotels - but longing for a place to spread out in and throw together a salad and have a glass of wine as an alternative to weeks of restaurants. This space was perfect for my friend and myself - two comfortable beds and bedrooms, roomy bathroom, modern fittings, excellent kitchen and wonderful decks. A very convenient small washing machine in the bathroom. (Ah, clean socks!) We took advantage of it all, including the 3 English television stations to catch up on world news. The location was perfect for us - 3 stops from Stephensplatz and could go on a walk along promenade along the Danube every day. There is an adequate Penny Market just steps around the corner with fresh produce, bread, wine, beer, etc. Cons: (and these are not a big deal) (1) The flat could use another well lit mirror outside the bathroom. We were two women dressing and that would be useful. And (2) main courtyard to the property was shabby but after initial surprise, didn't bother us - just mentioning it. Finally (3) we left at 5:00 am and the elevator was not in service - most likely due to someone on a lower floor leaving the elevator door open. Again, small problems. Would DEFINITELY stay here again.

The apartment was beautiful and clean

Very nice apartment. The weather was too cold to spend time on one of the two porches, but still fun to look out at the river some. It's on the Danube, so it's not a fancy neighborhood, but we totally felt safe and we walked to and from the subway at night all the time. It had everything you need in a rental, plus some nice touches from the Dieter and Karin. Good wifi as well. We'd definitely come back.

Spacious, bright and stylish

Although the best views of the Danube are from the roof terrace (in the sun with a glass of wine or beer is recommended!), the whole apartment is bright, sunny and open. As you will see from the description and photos, it is also very well equipped and stylish, with nice sitting places inside and out, a full kitchen with all the equipment you need, and a large, comfortable double bed. Everything was very clean and well-maintained.

Karin gave us a warm welcome, showed us round, and made suggestions for shopping and eating nearby, which was really helpful.

The apartment is well located, with the metro station just five minutes walk away and only three or so quick stops from all the city centre attractions (the U1 trains run every 5 minutes). It's 'out of town' enough to be quiet and relaxed, but close to local shops, right by the river, and a great place to come back to after tiring days seeing and enjoying Vienna. It's also just a 10-minute, €10 taxi ride from Wien Mitte station where the CAT airport train arrives, or just one stop from Praterstern station if you get the S-bahn.

We really appreciated the walk-in shower, large bath tub, automatic washing machine, more-than-basic supplies (such as coffee and organic olive oil, as well as loo rolls and dishwasher tablets). Wifi was from a 4G dongle, but reliable and fast enough. The apartment also felt very safe and secure - despite being in a (slightly tatty) shared-entrance block, it had a key-operated lift, and the apartment's own door was very secure.

We highly recommend the Riverview Apartment to anyone visiting Vienna, but especially to a couple or a small family looking for a great base from which to explore the city.

Home away from home

We received a very warm welcome from Karin and Dieter, who then proceeded to give us a tour of their magnificent apartment. It was extremely bright (an added bonus in December), spotlessly clean, warm and very cosy. We felt very much at home and lacked nothing during our stay. The kitchen is well equipped and even had an espresso machine! The apartment was ideal: close to the metro and four stops from the city centre. We would definitely stay here on a future trip to Vienna, maybe in the summer when you can enjoy the superb roof terrace with direct views of the Danube. It is right on the Danube (boat pier) and from the two spacious terraces have a great view of the Danube, skyline Unocity and Kahlenberg (Grinzing).

The location is perfect both for visiting the many museums and attractions, as well as for business travelers and visitors.

St. Stephen's Cathedral can be easily reached within 3 stops on the metro Line 1 (located 5 minutes away).

The area around the Prater became increasingly modernized in recent years, such as. For example through the development of public transport, the redesign of the exhibition center of Vienna and the establishment of a convention center, which brings especially many international businessmen to Vienna.

Due to the modernization of the second Viennese district and the expansion of the transport network has been the residential area always urban and therefore popular.

Main attractions of the 2nd District: Wiener Prater (Ferris wheel), Augarten, Vienna Exhibition Centre, Danube Island (recreation area for swimming, cycling, sailing, water skiing and much more.)
