The new House of Refugio do Pico is well equipped for cozy togetherness and lacks nothing that allows a comfortable stay. Enjoy the exclusive comfort of 'your Sanctuary, including breathtaking sea views.

The bright and airy living room is cozy and tastefully furnished. Large glazed sliding doors open up the view of the fascinating expanse of the Atlantic Ocean. A fully equipped kitchenette with dishwasher offers the possibility, depending on your mood to conjure up a delicious dish.

The generous partly covered terrace serves as an outdoor room and enlarges the living area to the outside - a perfect place for example for viewing the breathtaking sunrises over the Atlantic..

The property
The park-like, large land is nestled in and surrounded by historic stone walls. On the property there are four identical cottages. All homes are nestled between numerous exotic trees and thus offer the space for cozy hours together.

The unique location of Refugio do Pico offers a variety of perspectives and stunning views along the coastline, the mountainous neighboring island of Sao Jorge and the seemingly endless blue of the Atlantic Ocean.

Little Piece of Paradise

What a terrific spot! My husband and I stayed here for part of our honeymoon and could not have asked for a better place to stay. The house is lovely and very clean. The view cannot be beat, and the location was perfect. There is a nearby natural swimming pool, lots of great restaurants in the area, and plenty of great hiking trails. Finally, the hosts are absolutely wonderful. They went out of their way to welcome us and make the stay extra special. We are so grateful that we got to stay at Refugio. We will definitely recommend to our friends, and we hope to return someday ourselves. Thank you so much!

Wunderbares Haus, wundervolle Gastgeber

Das Haus ist sehr sauber und die Ausstattung hochwertig. Es hat rein gar nichts gefehlt. Trotz seiner eher bescheidenen Größe wirkt das Haus sehr geräumig. Die 4 Häuser des Refugiums sind so geschickt angelegt, dass absolute Privatsphäre gesichert ist. Die gesamte Anlage ist äußerst gepflegt. Besonders genossen haben wir den wunderschönen Blick auf das Meer. Traumhaft! Silke und Tobias sind wunderbare herzliche Gastgeber, denen das Wohl ihrer Gäste am Herzen liegt. Sie sind immer erreichbar, aber total unaufdringlich. Danke, Ihr beiden!

Dreamhouse

Just perfect ! The little house for two is very clean and nicely furnished with all you need (even more!), the bed allows a good sleep. The view on the village and the ocean is amazing. You can relax in the garden, listen to the birds, look at the stars... It is a quiet and peaceful place in the nature where we loved to stay. Due to its situation, it is highly recommanded to have a car. The owner and his wife are exceptionnel : After a lovely welcome with flowers and some goods, they were always available and very helpful in any request, even concerning surroundings (tips for excursions on Pico Island, restaurants etc). Thank you for all, Tobias & Silke ! When we will come back to the Açores (because we want to come back !), we'll contact you to stay again in your place on Pico Island !

Traumhafter Aufenthalt

Ein Urlaubsaufenthalt im Refugio do Pico lässt keine Wünsche offen. Die Studiohäuser verwöhnen mit einem traumhaften Blick über die Küste und einer modernen, hochwertigen und liebevoll gestalteten Innenausstattung. Äußerst herzlich wurden wir von Silke und Tobias, dem Vermieterpaar, empfangen und mit wertvollen Tips und Ausflugsmöglichkeiten rund um die Insel bestens versorgt. Ein absolutes Highlight waren die kleinen Aufmerksamkeiten, die uns oft bei unserer Rückkehr von unseren Ausflügen vor der Haustür erwartet haben. Zu betonen bleibt, dass sich die beiden immer diskret im Hintergrund gehalten haben und, obwohl 4 Bungalows auf dem Grundstück stehen, wir immer absolute Privatsphäre genießen konnten. Wir danken Silke und Tobias für den wunderbaren Aufenthalt und können das Refugio do Pico nur wärmstens weiterempfehlen.
