Photos and Description of this Grand Lake holiday condo

3 Bedrooms - 2.5 Baths - (Sleeps 6)

Luxury Lake Front three bedroom, two and a half bath townhome at Beacon Landing Marina. The townhome offers three levels with all overlooking Lake Granby. The top level is a private master bedroom (king bed) with a fireplace and oversize Whirlpool bathtub. The second level is the kitchen, dining area, living area with Tv, DVD, CD player, surround sound system and gas grill on the deck. The first level has two private bedrooms (queen beds) with a full bath.

Lake Granby offers excellent Trout fishing and Beacon landing has a full tackle shop with boat rental, slip rental, and guided fishing trips.

Lake Granby is the second largest body of water in Colorado. There are three lakes linked together in Grand Lake. Lake Granby, Shadow Mountian Lake and Grand Lake. Lake Granby is by far the largest of the three lakes. Beacon Landing Marina is on site and you can rent boats, hire a fishing guide, and/or buy any fishing equipment needed to fish year round. For more details visit the Beacon Landing Marina website. The views of the lake and the mountains from all three levels is breathtaking. We find our home one of the most relaxing places we have ever been.

Why Deborah York chose Rocky Mountain National Park

Grand County is a wonderful area with a true mountain town feel. We love the peace and quiteness of this area. We like the historic feel to the community. The historic town of Grand Lake has been able to keep its character and charm. Lovely place to visit over and over again. The lakes are breathtaking nestled around the mountains. Rocky mountain national park is a wonderful place to take your family. The programs they offer to the children and adults are wonderful, not to mention the animals you get to watch. If you are looking for a place to spend some quality time with your family and friends this is the place to be.

Guestbook comments from the owner

What a great place to spend a week with my grandson! The townhome was even better than the pictures! It certainly was homey and we were able to settle in quickly. The owners thought of everything - the beds were so comfortable and the view from the decks were breathtaking - from the morning sunrise, the evening sunset and the starry, starry nights! My grandson (13) enjoyed his first visit to the Rocky Mts - a place I have loved for many years. We enjoyed the convenience to the RMNP for hiking and picnicking; horseback riding, and spectacular scenery! We saw lots of elk, moose and some big-horn sheep!! My grandson fished and caught some trout - the town of Grand Lake was convenient - we ate at many restaurants, rode go-karts and played putt-putt - it is a great little town! We even went to a rodeo in a nearby town. And after the activities of the day, we enjoyed evenings of playing games ( provided) and watching dvd's in the nicely furnished living room. The weather was just perfect! Thanks to the owners who made themselves available to answer any questions or needs! I would definitely come again and have already recommended it to many!

Loved It...Book It

  • 5 of 5

We enjoyed two nights in mid-September, and it was a great place from which to explore the west side of RMNP. We loved the peaceful lake and mountain views, as well as the changing colors of the Aspens. The unit was convenient to Grand Lake and RMNP, and it was clean, comfortable, and well-decorated. Deborah was friendly and helpful, as well as prompt to refund the deposit. We recommend this unit without hesitation.

The hospitality provided by the owner was exceptional. The condo was clean and well appointed - SO much better than staying in a hotel. The kitchen had everything we needed, the bathroom was comfortable, the view was really nice (coming from the flat land of Texas). We couldn't be happier with our choice and we will hopefully be back - with friends or family.

We were not able to use the fireplaces unless we opened the door - the condo is too well insulated!

Thank you for a wonderful experience.

Wonderful Experience

  • 5 of 5

We had such a nice time staying at this beautiful townhouse on Lake Granby. It is even nicer than the pictures show. It was fun watching the activities at the Marina....fishermen and families going out on boats. Marina busiest on weekends. The beautiful mountains from every floor. Lovely decks. We hope to come back next summer.

Right on Lake

Pros: The townhome is spacious and clean. We had four adults and two children stay and there was ample space. The view is incredible and cannot be beat. The kitchen was stocked with everything needed to cook meals. We ate in every night during a six night stay. The marina store was convenient and we bought ice there three times. The drive to the national park and local hikes was minutes.

Cons: The marina is noisy and a lot is going on right off the deck most of the time. The road between the townhomes and the marina is busy with people driving in and out. There was a couple staying in a camper in the parking lot during our stay. There was about 40 bats flying around right off the decks a few evenings. Also, the mosquitos were terrible (hundreds or thousands of them). It would have been nice to have a hot tub like some of the other units. There is not a good spot to fish without driving or taking a boat. Most renters are not allowed on the marina docks. The lake had trash and was not as clean around the shoreline as I expected.

Also, please remember that there are three levels of stairs so this would not be an ideal place to stay for someone with physical disabilities.

We are located 10 minutes from Rocky Mountain National Park. The park has abundant wildlife viewing that includes Elk, Deer, Mountain Goats and the occasional Mountain Lion or Bear. There is a wide variety of hiking trails in the park. Fall is a excellent time to see the Elk and fall colors as there are fewer people in the park after Labor Day.

Other Activities: boating, wildlife viewing, mini golf, shopping, biking, snowmobiling, rock climbing, horseshoes
