This is an exquisitely beautiful property set in a breathtaking taking location 20 min N of Akureyri
Meticulously designed and constructed, this 2BR, 1 Bath Home rests on a serene plot of land overlooking the Eyjafjordur (Island Fjord) 20 minutes north of Akureyri. Every room in the home has a breathtaking unobstructed view of the water and mountains on the other side of the fjord. The home is constructed of concrete with high-end finishes that make for a modern, elegant, and functional respite. We found the home to be incredibly quiet and peaceful. We used the hot tub every day and enjoyed spectacular late-night Summer sunsets over the water. The owner and the property manager were incredibly friendly and accommodating. We’ll definitely be staying here again during our next trip to Iceland!
This was our second stay at Kaldbakur House on Nollur farm. It was like coming home to an old friend. We are so pleased with our stay, again! Can’t wait until our next visit!
Someone with an impeccable taste built and decorated this property. It came as a pleasant surprise that a house of this nature is even available for rent. High end materials are used throughout. Same goes for appliances, that include dishwasher, washer and dryer. There’s even a vintage stereo system hooked up to a modern internet radio device. Thank you for not spoiling the experience by having a TV, which would be completely out of place! Open area and windows everywhere to enjoy magical views from the outside. Hot tub opens up from the patio floor and fills up in 2.5 hours using geothermally-heated water. Flip the switch and it flushes itself dry. We traveled around the whole country and this was the highlight of our trip. Well done!
We spent 3 nights in this wonderful home. Hated to leave! The views were much better than photos show online. The inside is spectacular and has what you need to cook at home. You do need to bring your own coffee/tea,spices& condiments. The sheep are fun to watch as they are right out front your door. We highly recommend the Nolur property . We loved it!
Peaceful, clean, lovely and perfect
My husband and I had a fantastic stay. We got groceries in town, and then cooked our own meals each evening in the kitchen with floor to ceiling windows looking out on the fjord. It was a peaceful place. Very clean. Would recommend to a friend.
