The 3,5 room-apartment is located on the 2nd floor and welcomes you with living area of 86m2. The apartment consists of two bedrooms, 1 x double bed, 2 x single beds, a modern bathroom (bath/shower/toilet), a spacious living-kitchen with dishwasher and coffee machine and a very bright living room. The large balcony offers a fantastic view over Eiger, Mönch and Jungfrau. Radio/satellite-TV and free internet (Wi-Fi) is at your disposal.

Enjoy the splendid view of the surrounding mountain world. The next bus stop is located nearby and the town centre and railway station can be reached within 5 minutes walking distance.

About Bernhard Eichenberger

We're a little family, living in the outskirts of Basel - a two hours drive from Grindelwald. Besides skiing in winter, preferably on the Kleine Scheidegg or on the First side of the valley, we're also enjoying the breathtaking hiking trails all around Grindelwald.

Why Bernhard Eichenberger chose Grindelwald

Wihtout any intention of buying a propoerty in the mountains, we rented this beautiful apartment for week of vacation in winter 2013 - it was love at first sight. After being informed by the property manager, that this apartment will be for sale soon, we did not hesitate for long and realized our dream of having a second home in the mountains for us, our family and our guests.

What makes this apartment unique

The apartment is located close to the town center and the Ski-Bus stop (around 100m walking distance). Buses leave in both directions, either towards Firstbahn or Männlichen. Additionaly, you can take the train to Kleine Scheidegg at the nearby train station (500m walking distance). The town centre is only a few minutes' walk away, where you can go shopping or just relax.

The beautiful and spacious balcony terrace has a view over the entire ski region and the legendary nothern face of the Eiger and is therfore another highlight of our apartment.

Fantastic apartment with amazing views of the Eiger

My wife and our two children spent Christmas 2017 in Grindelwald. The apartment was comfortable, clean and had everything we needed. The views were amazing, it very easy to just sit and look out across the valley.

We rented a car in Geneva and drove straight to Grindelwald, after 20 hours of flying I probably stay in Geneva overnight before driving if we did it again. Parking at the apartment is easy and it was useful to be independently mobile, especially with the kids.

Our hosts were very friendly and helpful, assisting us both before we arrived and during our stay.

I would absolutely stay here again! Thanks!

Super clean, perfect!

One of the best VRBOs we've booked. Exceptionally clean. We have allergies and the condo was impeccable. View is exceptional. Very clean, well stocked, and comfortable. "D" was great - checked in on us and even came to visit when my husband sprained his knee sledging. There are only a few units in this building but there is a shared washer/dryer (fee) and DVDs to borrow. Nespresso pods are available for .50.

If you are arriving, by train, it is about 1/3 mile walk downhill from the train station. We booked a taxi to get our luggage back up the hill for $14CHF (call in advance). There is a nearby bus stop but buses are limited in the off season (you can check the schedule - it would be the Endweg stop). Since you will pay the "tourist fee", you will receive the card that allows you free bus rides and discounts at the sportscentre. We swam and did the ropes course that is suspended over the hockey rink. We also went sledging at Kleine Scheidegg. You can rent sleds at Buri Sports (so helpful!), but beware that even though it is a "family" run, if you haven't sledged before, I would be wary of taking kids younger than 12. There are some steep drop offs and steering/braking with your boots is essential. The first half has a fair amount of walking, then you can catch the train back from Brandegg. We would definitely book again - location, view and condo were ideal.

Great View, Great Apartment, Great time

We had a great time at this delightful place. The view was fantastic, the apartment was very nicely furnished, the internet connection was great, the nespresso machine was a thoughtful addition and the all in all cleanliness of the place was perfect.

Although we were not thrilled about walking up the three floor staircase nor about the need to pay some francs to use the washing machine in the ground floor; we still loved the place and those were honestly minuscule inconveniences.

We do intend to return and we do recommend this spot.

Great place and great apatment

Everything is amazing and fully equiped. Furniture and finishings were great and joyful.

The disadvantage is that its in the third floor and no elevator is available but it worth since it will give me better view on high level.

Overall, it worth every penny I paid for my stay.
