Absolutely Perfect

Cecile was very easy to deal with and the apartment was just perfect. The apartment was well set out for 2 couples, each having plenty of privacy. The furnishings were of high quality and we felt very safe and secure. We loved the location, out the front into the quiet street or through the back to the Saint Paul Station, taxi stand and numerous shops and restaurants. I would recommend staying here and hope to return again soon.

Delightful with One Hiccup

We had a delightful stay at Deluxe Marais, only problem was it was too short!! The property itself is very pleasant, spacious and in an excellent location (close to the heart of the Marais, the Seine and two well connected Metro stops). The apartment is well appointed with excellent bathrooms,comfortable beds and a decent functional kitchen. It is also larger than you expect from the pictures and a good size for a central Parisian apartment. Like others who've stayed here before us, I reiterate their comments about the quietness of the property given its central location, thanks to it being at the rear of a court-yarded complex behind a locked door. My only gripe (and it's a small one) is having to pay cash for our stay. We booked through homeaway.com, and like any other travel sites, you submit your credit card details when booking. Having to withdraw a substantial amount of Euros from an ATM as an international traveller was a costly and time consuming undertaking (several trips to an ATM as our bank sets a daily limit on withdrawals). Perhaps this way of paying is a Parisian or even a French thing, but it would be a much better system to simply charge the credit card that you submit when booking. As I said, this is a minor gripe compared to the overall experience and one I hope Cecile amends for the benefit of future travellers. Would be more than happy to return to this property when we are in Paris again.

A true Parisian Experience

We rented the Le Marais apartment from Cecile for our family trip to France for three nights. The apartment is in a very quant walkup building in Le Marais just steps from the Il de St. Louis, Il de Citi and the bustling neighborhood of Le Marais. If you truly want to feel like you are living in Paris for the time you are there, this spot is for you. The apartment itself is exactly as advertised and very well appointed with two full bedrooms, two full bathrooms equipped with a washer/dryer and small but very functional kitchen. It was very comfortable and could accommodate a family or 4-5 well or two couples perfectly. We loved our stay and would absolutely stay again. Only caveat is if you are booking in the high heat of summertime, there is only one AC unit in the master bedroom for the entire apartment.

We loved our stay at this apartment. It included everything we needed and was in a great, quiet location. Very close to a Metro stop and great restaurants and shops.

Fantastic location and building

Cecile was fantastic. Loved the home and location. We took my 90 year old father with us, so an elevator was critical. We didn’t realize there was a half a flight of stairs on both ends of the elevator. My dad did ok with them, but it would have been better if we had known in advance.

Why they chose this property

I regularized my apartment to have the right to rent it on short term. It's so rare in Paris. Only a hundred of apartments are legal. So you don't have to worry to see an inspector of the City of Paris knocking at the door during your stay at Marais Elegance.
Also, Le Marais is my favorite part of Paris. I've always loved hanging on in the charming streets of this area, and feel like if I was in a cute little village. There are plenty of fancy restaurants and cafés, trendy shops and art galleries, open markets, and above all, it's so close to every thing that you want to see or visit when you're in Paris. i believe location is the most important when you choose a vacation rental, and you won't be disappointed!
