Come enjoy this beautiful mountain cabin. Located 40 min from the Pennsylvania Grand Canyon. Enjoy the beautiful 11 acres. There is 4 miles of gravel road for biking, walking, and hiking. Plus state forest that borders the property and road. Located 13 miles from Blossburg Exit off of Route 15. About the same distance to Mansfield University.
My family reserved this cabin for a weekend getaway to enjoy the fall weather. I don't normally write bad reviews, but I don't want other families to go through this same experience, as this was a nonrefundable stay. Upon arrival, we unloaded our van and discovered that the house was extremely dirty. There were dead flies on the counter, the stove and all around the house. I also found other dead bugs on the floor...I tried to wipe down the bathroom and swiffer-mopped the kitchen, dining room, bathroom and upstairs bathroom. We stayed an hour or 2 and then just decided that we couldn't sleep there and left. This was quite a disappointing experience for me and my family.
This remote cabin was just what we wanted to disconnect from our hectic lives and enjoy the beautiful natural surroundings of the mountains. The kids loved it-the adults loved it and we hope to visit again next year!
We had a great time staying at the cabin. The guys went fishing at Tioga State Forest. The girls hiked Leonard Harrison State Park and Colton Point State Park. The hikes we picked were difficult but so very beautiful. Everyone we met throughout the weekend were such friendly people. Enjoyed bonfires in the evening under the amazing night sky. The cabin is remote but you can pretty quickly get to attractions/restaurants. Our dogs love it!
We really enjoyed the stay. the cabin just as explained.
fully furnished,nice and clean.
The owner was also very co-operative, responded quickly.
And i loved the location as well.
This was a nice little cabin to use as a get away. Our kids were able to ride their bikes around the yard and play in the woods. We'd definitely go back. The owner was very accommodating. The descriptions was good - only thing missing on the description was that there are TVs available. We were glad to have them since it rained most of our trip. We had dinner one night in Wellsboro and took the kids fishing at Hills Creek. Overall, it was a good trip.
It was a little hard to spot upon arrival, and the door keypad was confusing at first as it is on the door, not the porch. Lots of open space and was a perfect fit for our team. Helpful to have directions from the owners as well, however GPS takes you on the correct road just about 100 yards before you actually reach it. Great price, great owners and hope to stay there again next year! :)
