The beds are comfortable, the appliances are new and the rooms are big and clean. We could not have been more happy with our stay.

Owner's Response: Thank you for your review. While the home is located on Hwy 2, and the bedrooms are located on that side, you will hear hear vehicles on the highway, during peak traffic times, and hardly at all at night. For light sleepers there is a table fan available in the closet to produce white noise. The Lake view room/lounge, kitchen, dining room and bathroom have a completely opposite characteristic and are quiet, with nearly no recognition of a highway setting. The backyard provides complete privacy, and is a quiet oasis in itself, allowing you to hear the waves of the lake. The benefits of the privacy of this home, outweigh "street noise", which is unavoidable, and also recognized and stated in arrival instructions, with problem-solving suggestions. The location is prime, in the middle of the city, which will have a larger volume of traffic. This benefits your ability to be able to walk everywhere versus use a car for everything. Travelers should Consider staying at a local hotel that has a corridor separating the highway from their rooms in order to avoid the "noise". As far as the smell, we keep an extremely clean environment. On most summer days, the unit is cleaned and prepped for 3-4 hours minimally. If your arrival date is on the same day as another guest departed, you will have scents of cleaner, disinfectants as well as fresh, clean linens. This quickly will settle as it normally would. The unit has no carpeting, and is completely new in the interior. We cannot control the likes and dislikes of everyone's "scent" preferences. It is unreasonable to clean with lighter cleaners and still provide the sanitation it requires to keep everyone healthy and safe from others community acquired illnesses.

Great place to stay as I was in town for a seminar. All of the comforts of home. The views of the lake were amazing! The only thing I missed was basic cable so I could catch the news/weather. I would come back again in the future!

Comfortable, convenient rental with a fantastic view of Chequamegon Bay

Headed North to enjoy the wonders of the Ashland and Bayview area and happily found this great rental. Only couple of blocks from the heart of Ashland and a newly remodeled space made for a comfy stay. The road noise from Hwy 2 is there but is far outshone by the amazing view out of the north facing wall of windows looking out over Chequamegon Bay. On our last night there we were treated to an amazing show of the Northern Lights while comfortably sitting in the back room, first time 3 of the 4 of us had seen this natural wonder and we will never forget it.

Thanks for making this space available as a vacation rental!!

Beautiful and great location!

We were visiting family who live in Ashland Wisconsin and it was the perfect place. The place was beautiful , spacious and clean. The view of Lake Superior was Amazing. Close to downtown Ashland as well, the location was ideal. We would stay there again.

Owner's Response: Thank you for your feedback. We take great pride in keeping a clean and well maintained environment. Unfortunately many of the cleaners that clean and disinfect the surfaces for each new arriving guests, come with a frangrance. We have chosen very light and pleasant clean scents to avoid pungent scents and the reassure each guest that the rental was cleaned. Obvious, initial odor will be stronger on a same day turnaround, and will naturally dissipate over a few hours. We hope future guests appreciate this quality, and find their own way to reduce the scent however they choose. We choose to NOT have pull out beds/sofas as to not cater to large groups, we focus on couples retreats, with a 4 person maximum sleep accommodations in beds/bedrooms. Keeping a separation from a socialization and entertainment room and the bedrooms. Thank you for your feedback.

Absolutely no smoking in the rental, and No pets (including visiting pets). If you are a smoker, please do so outside, preferably at the ground level and extinguish and dispose of your items appropriately. We take great pride in keeping a very comfortable and clean environment for everyone to enjoy. This rental is not a “party house”, any renter creating a social atmosphere to usual purpose will be considered a violation of rental agreement, and further action will be taken to remove renters from the premises. All Guests visiting property MUST be registered. If you are planning socialization/events with others, please contact me in advance for permission and/or additional fees. Please contact me if you have any concerns or questions about this.

Extended Stays will be considered November 1st-April 1st. .
