Tranquil, lovely retreat spot

I was very impressed by this unit. The owner has stocked it so well with all the little things one might need. The decor is quite lovely, and the views from the porch and bedrooms are fabulous. The only advice for the owner is to not use the room deodorizers. There were 6 of them spaced around a relatively small two bedroom condo and it smelled very strongly of fake deodorizer smell. No problem, I went around and got the all and put them in a bag in the laundry closet. But I'd advise others to request they aren't used. There was no need for them, no bad smell they were hiding. Dealing with the owner or manager, Felipe, was very pleasant and he was prompt to answer any questions I had. Again, the attention to detail was very thoughtful: salt and pepper shakers, bottled water, new sponges, etc. I felt very taken care of in this safe, lovely condo.

Perfect

I was originally going to book the JW Marriot at Starr Pass, but on the advice of my cousin who has lived in Tucson for 25 years, we decided to stay in the foothills near Ventana Canyon. As a travel agency owner, I typically book hotels. I’ve traveled the world and I am very fussy about my accommodations. I was a little nervous about booking through a website for private homes…but it was the BEST thing I could have done for my stay in Tucson! The condo far exceeded my expectations. The pictures are accurate, but don’t do the condo justice. It was extremely clean, decorated very tastefully, plenty of extra linens, fully equipped kitchen and the beds and couches were quite comfortable. We loved having morning coffee and evening cocktails on the balcony. Great views, singing birds, and no bugs! The location is perfect –a lovely, safe and quite neighborhood. The Ventana Trailhead is literally in the backyard. Catalina and Sabino Parks are only a few miles away. The food store and quite a few good restaurants are down the road a mile. No traffic. We used the pool and hot tub(very clean) almost every night after a day of hiking or exploring. The owner was so easy to work with. I used PayPal and received my deposit within days of checking out. I highly recommend this home. DO NOT hesitate to book with Felipe. You will not regret it. It truly felt like a home away from home - in fact so much so - we plan on returning again, but next time for at least a month. We still have so much of beautiful Tucson to explore!

This place was a pleasant surprise for us!

We are a family of four and stayed here for a week while on vacation. Let me just say that this place is wonderful!!!! It has everything you need and covered parking too! It was neat and clean. Also, could not ask for a better location. Great views! I did use the kitchen to make our daily meals and it is equipped with everything you need. The only thing I would recommend is that you bring your own spices if you are planning to cook. It also has a nice regular sized HE washer and dryer which I used often and the detergents are supplied for you! My 13 and 15 year old boys are still asking me if we can return there! We went on extended walks from the apartment and saw road runners, quail, rabbits, large lizards, hummingbirds as well as lots of other species of birds. I have NO complaints about our stay whatsoever. The owner, Felipe, is very hospitable and promptly responds to every email. This place truly exceeded our expectations. I highly recommend it! We would certainly stay here again if another opportunity were to arise.

Excellent Property

If you are thinking of booking this condo I have stayed there and recommend it.

The condo is very nicely decorated the leather couch and loveseat are in very good condition, not some worn out stuff you see in some rentals. The beds have white crisp cotton sheets, and fluffy white comforters. The mattress was very comfortable. The kitchen is well equiped with dishes that match! The decor is tasteful and looks like thought was put into it not just throw together. I have stayed in other rentals and they always look a bit run down but not this one.

We were there in summer and the place was very quiet, almost no one in the pool. The balcony is lovely no bugs so we could sit out there and have dinner. Also the owner provided four chairs a good size table and another lounger for use on the deck.

The only improvements I could suggest is to provide tea towel and dish cloths. Also for anyone who is large the shower stall and toilet area in the MB is a bit tight, I was fine but big people may want to use the 2nd bathroom. Also note that the kitchen does not have any spices or cooking oil so you will have to bring or buy that.

Overall this is a great condo to rent, and the business transactions with the owner all went as planned and without problems. The security deposit was promptly returned.

Can't Wait to Return!

This was our 5th trip to Tucson, our favorite destination. I liked this development, so took a chance on renting this unit. Best decision I could make! The condo is perfect, I can't think of a thing that could be better. Super comfy beds, up-to-date kitchen with granite, QUIET end unit location, nice porch to have coffee on, great tvs, and a very nice living couch set to hang out on. Felipe is a terrific person to work with, prompt and friendly. As soon as I get next years' airplane tickets, we're going to rebook this exact condo. LOVED everything about it.
