About this property

Updated Midcentury near UW and Children's Hospital

Our renovated midcentury home is bohemian chic. Cook in our gourmet kitchen or dine and shop at nearby University Village. The neighborhood is quiet and residential, but Children's Hospital, UW, busses, and much more are within walking distance. Our home is environmentally friendly, with organic linens, solar power, and an electric car charger.

Our home is updated and carefully decorated with all modern updates including fiber high speed internet, Netflix and Amazon for streaming movies or tv (there is no cable TV) and a CD and DVD player. There is a gas fireplace to keep you cozy in the winter and a gas cooktop, double ovens, and a gas barbecue for all of your cooking and baking needs. The kitchen comes stocked with nearly every tool you could needing, including an electric espresso machine and kettle. The house has solar panels and an electric car charger in the carport. There is space for parking one car off-street and also plenty of on-street parking.

Our home is not suitable for children. It is available for longer-term vacationers (those with a couple of suitcases/a vacation level of luggage) but not those for looking for a short-term rental where they could come with more belongings. Our calendar online is up-to-date, and we do not offer any discounts beyond those already reflected in the tool. We require all renters to have past positive reviews on the rental platform.

Everything was wonderful. Close to the city bus stop and a short drive to the light rail came in handy. Very relaxing. Bath and shower were very clean and well stocked. Cozy with plenty of room for us at the same time. Kitchen was excellent. Was a great comfort to our daughter's post op recovery and near the hospital. Competitive cost with staying in a nice hotel.

Beautiful house, well appointed. Great neighborhood
Overall good visit. I loved the alley behind the house so I could drive right up to the back door and drop off groceries, etc. Loved the heated bathroom floor. I would have liked to meet the owner at some point but we did talk on the phone and by text. She was very responsive to requests.

perfect in every way!
We had a wonderful stay - exactly what we needed to accomodate both workday and safely visit family. Wonderful amenities (esp the coffee machine!), lots of light, clean and perfect location for grocery needs and taking walks at Magnussen park. We appreciated how responsive and friendly the hosts are and hope to be back soon! Thank you!

We are accountants with a creative side, who love to travel, eat, garden, read, make pottery, and spend time outdoors. We have lived in three different countries but Seattle is home. When we're away, we love sharing the beautiful home that we worked so hard to remodel with other travelers. Meeting the wonderful people who stay here is the best part of being Airbnb hosts.
