About Jackie Clark

When my husband and I first went to Berkeley Springs to have a relaxing weekend, we found the area to be energizing and relaxing all at the same time. We loved the area so much we went back again and eventually bought a farm and house we call Sky Mountain Farm. A few years later we built the cedar chalet on the next ridge which we rent to vacationers. Check our our new 3BR Log Cabin VRBO #268695 and our Honeymoon Cabin Fox Hollow VRBO #419811. The Chalet is a great place to stay for two people or a larger group.

We hope you enjoy our chalet as much as we do.

Why Jackie Clark chose West Virginia

My husband and I own a hardware store in Maryland and we will be retiring soon when the next generation takes over. We wanted to build a retirement business and since one of our favorite places is Berkeley Springs, we decided that would be a great place for a retirement business. Berkeley Springs has wonderful water, a nice community and is only 90 minutes away.

What makes this chalet unique

We love the hiking, the wildlife, canoeing on the Cacapon and Potomac rivers, and fishing in the streams. It is a wonderful place to get together with family as kids of all ages can find something interesting to do.

terrific place to gather the big family

  • 5 of 5

We gathered for a large family retreat renting 2 houses in the area. This house allowed us to gather for games and meals around the screened porch table as well as many "hideouts" for those who wanted to read and nap. It was a particularly hot weekend so we didn't enjoy the exterior as much as we should have. We will have to come back to use the open fields, hiking, firepit and hammock. The mountain views are just spectacular!

Very nice, quiet location

  • 5 of 5

This cabin has everything you should need. It's clean, plenty of tv locations, board games, pool /pong pong table, and located on a nice piece of property that is quiet. The view is also nice, and with the indoors, screened-in porch, and open deck, there are plenty of places to reside without running over everyone.

We enjoyed our stay and hope to return in the future.

Fantastic peaceful getaway just very 2 hours from DC

  • 5 of 5

Our group stayed here over the Memorial Day weekend and could not have been happier! As the weather wasn't so great we spent most of our three days in the cabin, but even with 15 of us it didn't feel cramped. The cabin has upstairs and downstairs communal areas, a deck, screen porch to the side, a patio with a hot tub, a fire pit and large grass areas for ball games. The pool table/ table tennis are a great addition and there are TVs upstairs and downstairs with lots of channels.

The cabin was in good condition with a well equipped kitchen. It's on a huge piece if private land so you really get to experience splendid isolation with stunning views of the valley. We would definitely return!

Beautiful secluded chalet, clean and spacious

  • 5 of 5

I rented this house for a weekend getaway weekend with 15 adult friends. We had a blast and were so sad to leave. It was very clean, had good water pressure, hot water and plumbing, plenty of appliances and pots and pans for cooking and a grill by the hot tub. The hot tub overlooks the beautiful mountains and was a real treat at night. The porch wraps around 3/4 of the house, 1/4 of which is screened in, so very easy to enjoy the outdoors. We were super lucky and got hit with 65 degree weather on Saturday, so we spent all day outside on the porch and going for walks through the adjacent field. Total privacy, which was really nice.

We fit our 15 fine, with a few folks on couches - 12 would be the perfect "max" number. The master suite on the main level is beautiful and has its own bathroom with jacuzzi tub. The owner was incredibly responsive and provided all the necessary information. We did not run into any hiccups. I would absolutely stay here again.

We're coming back next year!

  • 5 of 5

The sky mountain chalet was fantastic and we had a GREAT weekend at the chalet. I came with a group of 10 adults. We picked it for the hot tub, which fits 5 or a very cozy 6. We were pleased to find that the chalet was surrounded by nothing but mountains -- it was SO relaxing.

There was more sleeping space than we expected. We should have invited more people!! There are 3 floors -- the top floor is only the master bedroom and master bath. But the space its enormous and has a pull-out couch that sleeps two, and two additional single/twin beds that overlook/are open to the living room.

The property managers were fantastic and very helpful. They sent us an email full of activities nearby and recommended vendors before we arrived. And when we had a tiny household problem upon arrival, they had it fixed in about an hour.

Fabulous, relaxing weekend!

  • 5 of 5

Yet another year for our Girl's Weekend! This place is just fantastic. Jackie and her son, Jay, were both extremely helpful. We even had a quick question about the hot tub and Jackie answered right away. The house is just amazing and nothing in the description is inaccurate (except there is no Apples to Apples game, but we learned from last year and brought our own!).

The view is great while sitting in the hot tub, campfire is so relaxing in the evening, grill worked well for our steaks and hot dogs and everything you need in the kitchen even whipped up some cream! The rooms are spacious with enough bathrooms on each floor. The screened porch and the open upper/lower decks are the best part. The Chalet truly makes for a great vacation.

Tari's for lunch and Atasia Spa were wonderful as always and I highly recommend if you go into town. Always good antique shopping as well.
