Map
The Alpine village of Falkertsee is located in the Nock mountains between the villages of St. Oswald and Turrach. The gentle caps of the Nock mountains offer interesting routes to the unpracticed hiker. The region is unique in its flora and fauna as well as its geology. Its closeness to the Carinthian lakes, as well as the cure town of Bad Kleinkirchheim with its thermal baths and golf courses, make this a perfect spot for rest and recuperation.
Other Activities: Skiing, snowboarding
Ski: The Alpine house Diana is located on a southern slope at an altitude of 1,800 m. It is approximately 500 m from the lifts, ski school, ski kindergarten, sports stores with rentals and workshop, and the 12 km ski trail. The avalanche free region of Falkertsee reaches an altitude of 2,350 m. One can ski or snowboard here from December to April with no waiting at the lifts. The local lake is perfect for ice skating. 5 lifts bring you to the family friendly runs of all grades of difficulty. The friendly local proprietors from Falkert offer regional goodies, perfect for the run home.
