Nestled in the San Jacinto Mountains, Idlyllwild is a beautiful and peaceful arts community with charm, boutiques, art galleries, great restaurants, and local hiking and it's only 2 hours from San Diego, Orange County or Los Angeles.
The Pine Cone Cabin is a truly elegant rustic experience. With Aspen log furniture, 1 wood burning fireplace is in the dining room and an additional electric fireplace in the 2nd bedroom with a sitting area. Off of the Master bedroom is a large wood deck to enjoy a romantic evening under the stars or just to view the hillside of pine trees.
The side yard has a Propane tank BBQ that includes a fun area to dine.
If your coming up to the mountains to enjoy a few days of relaxation or to enjoy recreational activities, you will find that my cabin is located on the private side of Idyllwild (neighbors are a distance) yet the cabin is only 1/3 mile from the main street of town

STAY AWAY! THIS PLACE IS A RIPOFF!!

Made a reservation for Valentine's weekend. Contacted host to get access. Host doesn't respond. And they never use email because then you'll have something to document their communication. We get a voicemail from a blocked number saying that the cabin is being worked on and should've been blocked off. Susan (host) said that she would cancel the reservation at her end and that I should do so at my end as well. I set about making other plans to salvage the weekend and do something else. She never canceled anything. She won't return my calls. VRBO charged me anyway, and won't refund it because the host never canceled it. They have tried to contact her multiple times and she never answers. I should've read the reviews on this place. It seems like a scam. The host leaves the place dirty and doesn't respond when contacted. Tons of negative reviews and VRBO does nothing. It's like they are fine with their customers getting screwed as long as the money comes in. I have made numerous calls to VRBO. They have been no help. I will dispute the charge with my credit card company and never use VRBO again. This host is only able to steal money from guests because VRBO LETS THEM!

Do not book this cabin. The host is unresponsive and does not take care of the property. Almost none of the amenities listed in the ad existed. We arrived on a winter night and the heater would not work. The beds were not made. We had to put new sheets on ourselves. We had to take out all of the garbage. There was a pile of old damp towels in the bathroom which is odd because we were told to bring our own towels. After running small space heaters and building a fire the place became tolerable. I tried all the numbers listed for the host. The voice mail boxes were full and she did not answer or respond to text until our stay was conveniently over. I sent her pictures and descriptions of what was going on. I walked to the gas tank the next day to see why the central heat was not working and the main line had been disconnected with a yellow tag stating the bill had not been paid in some time. This note was left in July 2022 we stayed in December 2022. So basically the host rented us a cabin with no gas or heat. The internet was disconnected, the Netflix was expired and the jets in the bathtub didn’t stay on. This was a getaway for me and my wife that became terrible. I have been trying to get some kind of refund from the host but she is evasive and very hard to reach. We are considering small claims court. Advertising services, taking money and not providing them is fraud. To date she has done nothing. Verbo is useless and we want some sort of refund.

It was easy to see the bedsheets and pillows were used, the house was dusty, Wi-Fi does not work and owner never replied to any of our messages

False Advertising!!! DO NOT STAY HERE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Due to the heavy traffic from San Diego on 7/2/2022, I arrived at the property around 9:30 P.M. and freaked out when we saw the horrible hygienic conditions of the place. 7-8 empty Stella beer bottles, 3-4 Kombucha empty bottles, unwashed1 wine glass, 3 mugs, 2 shot glasses, 2 bowls (Yellow & White), and 1 spoon was on the sink, VONS market bag was on the floor, dirty bed covers on the living room floor in front of the TV, used bed sheets were not replaced, found 2 used towels underneath of the pillows (1st-floor bedroom), filled trash can & 2 used towels in the bathroom, 1 yellow towel hanging on the shower booth frame, the dining table was very dirty and found full of dust when I wiped it with a wet paper towel, full of dog hairs on the blanket (2nd-floor bed), cockroaches, and insects including bed bugs crawling all over the place, etc... There are so many additional things are available to describe of this home. The air conditioner is not available and there's only 1 full bathroom. Very different from what the host posted on this website. The host admitted the property was not cleaned and prepared for our visit and reported the claim to VRBO for a full refund. Originally booked from 7/2-7/4, but due to the health issue of our family members having severe skin irritation that occurred since the night we arrived, we checked out from the property on 7/3/2022 to survive. Currently waiting for a doctor's appointment. They massed up the 1st family trip I specially requested on an extra hygienic environment for my dad who had heart surgery not too long ago directly to the host. Please DM me if anyone needs additional info.
