Gallery 2 is in a meticulously restored century old building, minutes from Place St-Henri subway station (Metro), the Atwater Market and the historic Lachine Canal. An ideal home away from home in one of the most dynamic villages in Montreal called St-Henri. Parking is free in the streets in front and around the building.

This two bedroom second floor apartment has lots of natural bright light and sleeps 4 to 6. It is an open kitchen to dining room, a living room, a master bedroom, a second bedroom, a bathroom and a very large deck. It features one queen size bed, two single beds & a sofa double pull-out bed. The full equipped kitchen with dishwasher is open to the dining room that leads out to a very large deck. The bathroom has a deep tub with shower perfect to relax after days of sightseeing and front loading washer/dryer. Finished with hardwood floors, spotlessly clean, original art decorated, high quality furnishings & linens. Fans in every room and central AC for comfort. Two flat screen TV, DVD player, cable TV, Netflix, high speed wifi internet & bluetooth stereo system provided for entertainment. Also comes stocked with books, board games and a small collection of DVD’s for all ages.

Called Gallery 2 because this is 1 of 3 units in our building isolated to minimize noise between levels. The other unit that we rent is Gallery 1 (#211812) with one bedroom. Two patio sets and BBQ’s are on the deck shared on rare occasion with Gallery 1.

Good food is just steps away at the deluxe IGA grocery store or the delicious Atwater market where you can savor gourmet foods, pastries and deli style food. If you prefer to eat out, we are a few minutes walking from some of Montreal’s top restaurants like Joe Beef, Liverpool House, Tuck Shop, H4C, Smoking Vallée or CHO. If you prefer a drink in a hip setting there is La Drinkerie, Burgundy Lion, Grumman 78 or Ludger and many others just around the corner.

Depending on the season, you could catch a famous Canadians hockey game at the Bell Center, go rock climbing at Allez-Up indoor rock climbing gym or rent a kayak and paddle on the Lachine Canal 2 blocks away from the apartment. You can also walk or cycle on the Lachine Canal bike path which leads to the Old Port and Old Montreal in just 15 minutes. Finally, for small children and family there is a nice park with playground and splash pad just one block away.

It is a charm to be able to do everything Montreal has to offer just walking around our apartment or get to downtown in less than 10 minutes. You are more than welcome to experience yourself why we are the property with most reviews in Montreal!

Great area, good restaurants and we are very close to the subway system (called Metro) downtown reachable in minutes just a couple of station away.

Very close to the Atwater market where there is great food and restaurants. We are also minutes from the Canal Lachine which has great bike paths and walking areas that lead to the Old Port of Montreal.

What makes this apartment unique

Proximity to downtown / Old Montreal, walking distance to the Atwater market, Metro (subway) Place St-Henri, grocery store, lot of really good restaurants and nice pubs.

Perfectly located in a vibrant neighborhood to come and enjoy the real Montreal experience!

We loved everything about this charming apartment! The owner was so easy to deal with, and very accessible to answer all questions. He even took time to install the air conditioner while getting ready to leave the province for his son's wedding! The apartment is immaculate, meticulously maintained and well equipped for everything you need. The outdoor deck and barbecue were a huge bonus, as was the washer and dryer. Beds were very comfortable and the deep soaker tub (with shower) was lovely. The only thing I'd ever add to this great place is a small coffee table in the sitting room - so we could have a place to lay our glass of wine at the end of the day! The location is excellent as well - this was my first visit to Montreal, on a cross-country trip, and it is quite easy to access travelling east on the Trans Canada Highway. It is just around the corner from a Metro stop, which was wonderful to visit all parts of Montreal. Lots of great little restaurants in the area as well - we ate at the Greenspot Diner (good diner food) and The Burgundy Lion Pub (amazing menu! highly recommended). There is also an IGA just up the road, great for supplies. And also quite close to the great Atwater Market, which we really enjoyed visiting. The canal is very nearby also, and is great for walking. We stayed 4 nights in Gallery #2 apartment, and would very definitely return. We highly recommend staying here!

Quiet street in great location!

Great apartment! Very clean and well kept. Many thanks to John and Jane for their warm welcome and supply of fresh Montreal bagels! The owners were always available if needed. Well organized local information and wireless internet on site. Quiet location close to Atwater Market, the Lachine canal, and downtown. Recently renovated and plenty of space for our 16 month old to roam. We visit Montreal often and the apartment was perfect for our family gathering (fully equipped kitchen). We're planning to rent the unit again for upcoming visits.

Perfect base

We loved Etiennes apartment, clean and well maintained with beautiful furniture and a great deck. In a quiet area but close to Metro, shops, restaurants and a lovely walk along the canal to Atwater Market. We walked/cycled in all directions and the convenience of the metro opened up the rest of Montreal as well as it being extremely easy to get to the F1 Grand Prix.

Etienne was very welcoming and any correspondence was always answered promptly and helpful.

Lovely apartment , convenient location

We recently enjoyed a 4 night stay in the gallery 2. The apartment was very clean and had everything we needed to make our stay perfect. There were many restaurants within a very easy walk as well as access to the metro station that was less then a 10 min walk. Any questions I had were answered quickly and in a friendly manner. I would most definitely recommend this property :)

Perfect location and authentic feel.

Loved the location, the furnishings and the deck. Only some minor items that could be better: knives weren’t sharp, lack of basics like cooking oil, salt and pepper and some basic spices and condiments. Appreciated that they had cleaning materials, night lights for kids and coded locks so you don’t have to carry keys.

The perfect home away from home in Montreal

My husband and I stayed here for 4 nights while visiting Montreal on a sightseeing vacation. The apartment is absolutely spotless with modern appliances and beautiful furnishings. We loved that it has windows in every room, so it let the sunshine in all day. The beds were comfortable and the neighborhood was extremely quiet so we slept well. We did not use the deck but it was large and was great for stepping outside to check the weather in the mornings.

There is a convenience store literally steps from the apartment. It looks like a house so blends well into the neighborhood and I didn’t even realize it was a store until my husband pointed it out. There is a coffee shop/cafe just a few blocks away, and the metro and an IGA are just a little further. Additionally there is an organic nail salon and a hair salon as well as restaurants an easy walk from the apartment. What more could we ask for? We found all parts of Montreal easily accessible by the metro or bus. The first afternoon we had an early dinner in our neighborhood then strolled along the canal which has paths for walking and biking.

I would highly recommend this apartment.
