ATWATER 1 use to be called GALLERY 1 which is in operation for more than 5 years with over 175 reviews and 4.9 / 5 stars !! It is an open kitchen/dining room apartment with closed master bedroom. 1 queen size bed and a confortable double sofa futon type in a big living room with 2 double French doors.

This ground floor unit have lots of natural light sleeps 2 to 4. Hardwood floors, spotlessly clean, original art decorated, high quality furnishings & linens. Fans in every room and central AC for comfort. 2 Flat screens HDTV / DVD’s from our library of movies for all ages / Cable TV / Netflix / High speed WIFI internet & Bluetooth stereo system provided for entertainment. This unit is handicapped accessible w 36” doors & no step inside.

Deep tub & shower in bathroom to relax after days of sightseeing. Accessible washer/dryer, large second floor deck with 2 patios sets & BBQ’s. All equipped kitchen, books & board games. Called ATWATER 1 this is 1 of 2 units in our building isolated to minimize noise between levels.

If you prefer to eat out we are minutes walking from some of Montreal’s top restaurants Joe Beef, Tuck Shop, H4C, Smoking Vallee, CHO, Liverpool House or if you prefer a drink in a hip setting there is Loic, Grumman 78, Ludger and many others close by.

Depending on the season, you could also catch a Canadians hockey game at the Bell Center, go rock climbing at Allez-Up indoor rock climbing gym or rent a kayak and paddle on the Lachine Canal.

Walk or cycle along the Lachine Canal bike path just 15 minutes away by bike to Old Port & Old Montreal. Leave your bikes at home we provide 3 adult bikes free of charge with helmet and locks. For small children & family there is a two nice park with playground, splash pad, pool & tennis just one block away.

As always fantastic stay in this Saint Henri gem!

We have stayed in all three of the units and have enjoyed every single stay!! The units are well equipped, clean, close to so much and a quick walk to get to the metro, shopping, restaurants etc. We look forward to every stay and are going back again in just a few short days.

Great place to stay in Montreal

We really enjoyed our stay in this comfortable, well equipped apartment. The apartment is really quite spacious for 2 people and nicely decorated. It was very convenient for looking at all the sights in Montreal via the Metro, which is a short walk from the apartment. We were able to park our car right outside the apartment with no charge and as we were not there on a Thursday morning, when parking is not allowed, it remained there for the whole of our visit. The IGA grocery store is also a short walk away and is close to the Metro station and so all in all a very convenient location. There are quite a lot of restaurants within walking distance - even on a cold snowy evening - we tried Le Tequila Bar (very close) and Sumac (different).

The view from Mont Royal is worth the uphill climb. There is a small museum in the Banque de Montreal which is worth a quick look and the interior of the Oratoire Saint Joseph is a lovely surprise.

Communication with the owner was easy.

Difficult to find anywhere better.

Spacious, clean, well located, comfortable home from home

Good location, easy to access main areas via Metro. Nice to be able to do own laundry with no hassle. Bike use was easy & easy acces to canal into old port. Was not as light as indicated in pictures but was comfortable & felt like home for the week. Quite a bit of noise from flat above during the day.

Extremely Clean, Well-Appointed, Perfect for Enjoying the City by Bicycle!

We had a fantastic weekend at this apartment. We stayed on the ground floor, but we did go up to the patio on the roof a couple of times to enjoy the perfect, sunny fall weather. This is probably the cleanest apartment we've ever stayed in. It is bigger than it appears in the pictures. It also has a garage that is easily accessible, and is the perfect place to store bikes if you bring your own--or I believe you can rent from the owner too, though arrange this in advance. We brought our own bikes and were thrilled not to have to lock them outside, or lean them in the apartment. Store them inside the garage! When it was time to go each morning, we just opened the garage door and rode away! The linens were extremely luxurious. The closets where large and useful, as well as charmingly quirky. The apartment is only 4 blocks from the Lachine Canal (at one of its most scenic sections too!), so it is easy to head downtown on your bike; or out across the the St. Lawrence River on the bike path that parallels the Pont Champlain!); or out to one of our favorite places in Montreal, Parc René-Lévesque with all it's gorgeous views and larger than life sculptures; or ride past the donut shop (Léché Desserts) on Rue de Corcelle on your way up to the fantastic, protected 2-way bike path on Blvd. de Maisonneuve, to go east-west in the city. Everything about the experience staying here was beyond our hopes and expectations. We hope to come back and stay right here again very soon!

Perfect place to stay

The Gallery was a wonderful place to stay! My partner and I stayed while on our honeymoon, and everything was perfect. The space is roomy and the neighborhood is charming and accessible to the rest of Montreal.

Why Etienne Masse chose Saint-Henri

We love this area, it is vibrant and interesting. The Atwater market is a great place to have a nice coffee and a dessert on weekends and the Canal Lachine area is a daily source of enjoyment in the summer. Great bike paths and walking areas that lead to the Old Port of Montreal.

Good restaurants and we are very close to the subway system (called Metro) downtown reachable in minutes just a couple of station away.

What makes this apartment unique

Proximity to downtown / Old Montreal, walking distance to the Atwater market, Metro (subway) Place St-Henri, grocery store, lot of really good restaurants and nice pubs.

Perfectly located in a vibrant neighbourhood to come and enjoy the real Montreal experience!
