The Ranch Cabin is a luxury cabin nestled at the base of Mount Magazine, the highest point between the Rockies and the Alleghenies. The cabin is private and isolated and has a gorgeous view of Mount Magazine from the fully furnished deck and the covered porch. The little house is fully furnished with a hide-a-bed couch in the living room and a recliner for him (or her) Outside on the deck, a fantastic night sky will greet you with stars so stupendous on clear cloudless nights it will literally take your breath away. And August is especially great with visible meteor showers. Grab a quilt and a pillow and spend half of the night outside.

You can nap in the hammocks during the day underneath the trees, or roam in the woods, build a fire in the rock garden in the woods and enjoy a good old fashioned cook out with hot dogs, marshmallows, and more. Plenty of wood provided. You just have to gather it. If you get tired of being outside we have supplied the cottage with Dish TV, many, many games, books, and many videos for you to enjoy.

Nearby is great hiking and swimming and magnificent Mount Magazine, one of the jewels in the crown of the Arkansas Parks System. You will experience fantastic photo ops, hang gliding, hiking, and a visitor center at the summit. On the way up, stop at pristine Cove Lake for a great swim. Enjoy also award winning dining nearby, wineries, and museums, float the Mulberry just 40 miles north, and travel an easy drive north to Eureka Springs, South to Hot Springs, or East to Little Rock. At Jack Creek and Knoppers Ford recreation areas you may even catch a glimpse of a shy black bear as you swim, picnic, hike, and enjoy the bluffs. Deer and coyote, owls and other wildlife are regular visitors at the cottage. And the whippoorwills will serenade you to sleep in the spring and summer months. Enjoy butterflies In June and herb hunting as your knowledge of nature grows.

Why Walene Beeler chose Magazine

Ott Clare bought this property at the base of Mt Magazine in 1958. The original homesite, which originally had a log cabin, but a new house was built in 1990 on the same site. The cabin is on this property. Many locals have said we have the prettiest view of the mountain. Better than they have seen anywhere else in the county.

What makes this cottage unique

We love the peace and quiet here and the way the attributes of the mountain seem to be constantly changing. Sunrise and sunset can be dramatic. The whippoorwills in the spring and summer are so relaxing.

Guestbook comments from the owner

I was trying to submit a review on your site and couldn't figure out how. First, I wanted to say how sorry I am for the misunderstanding about my inlaws coming up. I honestly did not think they were coming up this year. I did not find out until Thursday morning. Now for my review if you don't mind submitting it on your site for me ----

I highly recommend Circle C Cottages. The owners are amazing people. Jenny's cottage is beautiful. Has all the comforts of home. My boys thoroughly enjoyed being able to just head out a s go fishing (even tho they aren't very good at it!). The location is perfect for all the spots we wanted to visit this year. The views are great! We hope to see you again next year!! Thank you so much, The Purdons Naples, Texas

Well kept property at affordable price.

  • 5 of 5

The owner is very sweet and keeps the property in excellent condition(even leaving us yummy cinnamon rolls for our arrival). The property is about 30 minutes from Mt. Magazine, but the property is in such a quiet and serene location for such an affordable price the drive was hardly a bother. Wonderful experience overall.

My family & I loved this little cabin & the cinnamon rolls.

  • 5 of 5

We loved staying at this cozy cabin. Our 2 teenage daughters really loved it. Since it was so cold & it gets dark by 5:30pm, we had to spend alot of time inside the cabin. We were so happy to find a 500 piece puzzle, a crossword book, and games. We enjoyed watching old movies there also. Had such a great experience that we just didn't expect having. Worth the drive down a 2.5 gravel road. I would definitely stay here again. The owner is easy to get in contact with also.

Away from it all

  • 5 of 5

This cottage in Magazine, AR was exactly what we were looking for. We wanted to get away for a few days before Thanksgiving and were looking to explore Mount Magazine, but also relax a little. It was so nice to have some space for our two boys, ages 6 and 3 to roam outside. The location is very rural and we enjoyed the peacefulness that the farmland provided. The cottage was very clean and had everything that we needed and then some. This is one of the most hospitable VRBO stays that I've been to. I was sad to leave and we would absolutely stay again if we return to the area.

Cozy Cabin

  • 5 of 5

This cabin is nestled in the hills of Arkansas. It’s the perfect size for 2 adults and a child. It’s quiet and makes you feel isolated from the world.

The cinnamon rolls waiting for us were the BOMB! We enjoyed them for our breakfast several mornings.

The kitchen is adequately stocked. If you want specific seasonings for a dish make sure you bring it since it only had the basics.

We went to all (3) parks. Mt Magazine, Petit Jean, and Nebo. One of each day of our stay. Petit Jean is the farthest at about 75 mins away.

The bed was comfortable. Plenty of towels, extra blankets, and pillows.

There is kitten/small cat that seems to go with the cabin. It’s friendly, well mannered, and kept us company while we enjoyed S’mores or sitting outside.

With Verizon we could get service but I don’t know why you’d want to ruin the stay with cell phones. Downloading websites, etc would take a while.

The hardest part was finding the cabin. There’s no mailbox or marker to distinguish the driveway so at night we made a guess which, lucky for us, which was correct.

The owners were quick to respond to any questions we had via the app. They were very responsive.
