Why Walene Beeler chose Magazine
Ott Clare bought this property at the base of Mt Magazine in 1958. The original homesite, which originally had a log cabin, but a new house was built in 1990 on the same site. The cabin is on this property. Many locals have said we have the prettiest view of the mountain. Better than they have seen anywhere else in the county.
What makes this Cottage unique
We love the peace and quiet here and the way the attributes of the mountain seem to be constantly changing. Sunrise and sunset can be dramatic. The whippoorwills in the spring and summer are so relaxing.

Book it to get real getaway
Overall I am happy with my stay at this beautiful cabin. It's right between Ozark and Ouachita, and very peaceful place for family time.
Most enjoyable. Everything as advertised. Beautiful, scenic and quiet. Owner was so nice! We had a great stay.
This property was so peaceful and relaxing. It was everything and more! It had everything you could need for cooking, grilling and relaxing. The cinnamon rolls left where an added bonus that we enjoyed very much! We look forward to going back when we can stay longer. Thanks for making this cabin such a perfect getaway spot!
We were looking for a quiet getaway place in Arkansas near Mt. Magazine and found this lovely cabin on VRBO. As we drove here my husband teased me that this was my find, totally mine responsibility. Then when we drove up he said, this is nice. When we got inside he couldn’t stop saying how wonderful it was 🥰. He really like it, what a truly great find! The wide open country space and the majestic view of Mt. Magazine from the porch is fabulous. The cabin is as pictured online, and as I cooked in the kitchen and served our meals it proved to me very functional and down right enjoyable to cook in. I love the roominess in the kitchen and the nice big island with eating bar.
I’m sitting out on the beautiful porch now writing this review because we’ve enjoyed it so much we booked an extra night.
The cabin well stocked and I loved that it has cast iron skillets , my choice of cookware. For mid July, there’s a lovely breeze blowing, just a very relaxing place to be.
This cabin is truly a gem tucked in the hills below Mt Magazine. We highly recommend it. It’s a great space and great value.
Peaceful setting with mount Magazine view
The magisterial sunrises and sunsets from the swaying seat for two is second to none. From the flow of the rolling hills your eyes gravitate toward the spectacular view of mount magazine. With a cup of joe in hand and the choir of birds in the morning it’s hard imagine a more perfect way to start the day.
Lovely cabin in Magazine!
Lovely cabin in Magazine, AR! Peaceful and off the road, beautiful views, firepit, hammock. Met some friends here for a weekend reunion and trekking up the mountain. Little kittens under the porch were a delight, as were the sweet dogs that visited us on our last day. Thank you!! This place is in the country so BRING BUG SPRAY if intending to spend time outside. :-)
