Set on the slopes of Koko Kai, this spacious, two-story, family-style home offers panoramic ocean views and breathtaking sunset over Diamond Head. Decorated with a touch of island decor, this villa is perfect for indoor/outdoor living. The large full kitchen, two living room areas, and large lanais provide plenty of room for families and friends to relax.
Enjoy a swim in the private, solar-heated swimming pool after a day at the beach. Watch all the water activities at Maunalua Bay. And if you're lucky, you may spot a few whales during their season.
The magical night lights which grace the nearby hillside, with the moon and stars, totally change Hale Ohana's ambiance.
Nearby beaches include Portlock (five minutes away), and Hanauma Bay and Sandy Beach (both about five to eight minutes away). Hale Ohana offers the best of both worlds: privacy, great family accommodations -- and, of course, convenience with Waikiki only 20 minutes away. Hawaii Kai offers great entertainment and dining, lots of shopping, close by beaches.

No back to back rentals as we need 2 days to properly clean the property. 7 night minimum over any major holiday and 12 night over Christmas. Our home has several stairs: Front Driveway Approx. 9 stairs up to first landing, than another 4 stairs to front door.
All 3+ bedroom rooms are located upstairs, Approx. 4 stairs to first landing, than another 4 stairs to 2nd landing, than another 4 stairs to top level. We do have a double futon bed downstairs in the living room area.

Great location, great views, great pool...disappointing interior!

Some of the fit-out and furnishings in this spacious house are very old, exemplified by the carpet that's so old the house has a permanent musty smell. Worse still the carpet on the external balconies is exposed to weather and accordingly reeks of mould. Also, don't expect AC thru the house as it only has one (loud!) AC unit in the main bedroom. Finally, one of the upstairs bedrooms is actually a small living room that occupants in the two adjoining bedrooms have to walk thru to reach the bathroom! For these reasons, our group felt that the house was poor value although with a small outlay by the owner the property could be a good stay option.

Week in paradise

I booked this house for me and my 4 friends. The plan was to come to Hawaii and and just enjoy the weather. This house was perfect for that. Easy to check in , close to everything you want, restaurants, stores and the beach is no more than a five minute drive. The views from the pool are fantastic (sunsets). I would stay here again . Safe neighborhood, located on the hill gets you a very nice breeze all day everyday. It’s better than the pictures can show you.

Great property!

This property was wonderful. Amazing views and perfect location. This house was very well appointed and perfect for my family of 5 and mother-in-law. Owner was super pleasant and helpful. Would recommend to anyone. Very memorable vacation!
