|Minimum Stay||2 - 3 nights|
Need to get away? Check yourself into our Moose Cabin.
Then curl up with a good book in front of the window overlooking Shadow Mountain Lake and Rocky Mountain National Park. In the summer, wander out to the deck to sip your coffee and search for the local wildlife that frequents the property.
Climb up the spiral staircase to the loft with a Queen size bed. It is a beautiful retreat at the top of the cabin with a bed worthy of sleeping late. The kids get their own space in the Clubhouse downstairs - complete with a bunkbed, Mr. Bear, games, and a glow-in-the-dark starry ceiling.
***This cabin was renovated in January 2009. We have added a gorgeous pine ceiling, new carpet, all new furniture, and many fun decorating touches. We believe the Moose Cabin to be a comfortable, relaxing retreat and base of operations for your explorations of Grand County.***
**We also own the Star Cabin #183295. Rent one or both cabins! They are on the same 1/2 acre, both private, but make a great place for two families to stay.
We love the Grand Lake area and all of the outdoor activities it offers. We especially enjoy relaxing at the cabin when we are not going up to work! As lovely as the cabin is, we are always making improvements. We figure if we are comfortable there, our guests will be as well.
Angie purchased this cabin in 2006
Skiing, hiking, wildlife, views, fishing, boating, snowshoeing, and Rocky Mountain
National Park! We really love to get out of the city and kick back in the mountains. Plus, Grand Lake is a fun little town with an Old West atmosphere.
Easy access to town and area activities, but located in a quiet spot with views. Great for couples and small families. Kids love sleeping in The Bunkroom!
for our first time in Colorado! The view looks like a beautiful picture. It was a quick drive to our two planned hikes and the relaxing Hot Sulfur Springs. We will definitely be back!
We had a wonderful time at Moose Cabin! The location is fabulous--right across from the lake, a mile or two from the little town of Grand Lake, and maybe 5 miles to the Grand Lake entrance to Rocky Mountain National Park. Adams Falls is a must see and is located a short 1/3 mile hike starting at the edge of the town of Grand Lake. The views are fabulous! The cabin itself is impeccably maintained and the kitchen is fully stocked with anything you'd need to make meals (we grilled steak one night). We stopped in Fraser for our groceries (Safeway) and ate out at Grand Pizza in town (highly recommend). Angie answered all of our questions and was delightful to work with. We hope to be back soon!
I have never used a service like this before and did not know what to expect, we were completely satisfied with our stay. The cabin was very clean and cozy and had everything we needed for our stay( dishes, cooking utensils, linens, etc).
The surrounding area made for great views of the lake, wildlife sightings as well as some very memorable photos of our children.
The owners/operators were very helpful and when I did have a question they were easily contacted.
I would recommend this cabin to anyone with a family of four, including 2 children. We are definitely looking forward to returning the the Moose Cabin.
We so very much appreciated the accommodations. We are moose lovers and enjoyed spying all the whimsical moose decorations through out the cabin. We cooked all of our meals at the cabin while we were in Grand Lake and found everything we needed at our finger tips -- even a slow cooker. The view of the lake and mountains from the deck encouraged several afternoons and evenings of just sitting, reading, enjoying and relaxing. Very quiet area and a great opportunity to recharge.
The cabin was as exactly as described, it was clean and fit our needs perfectly!
We booked this stay because we wanted to be close to Rocky Mountain National Park and it was so perfect! The entrance to the park is less than 5 minutes away. The cabin was adorable, cozy and had everything we needed. The view was the best part. We spent both nights on the deck and at the fire pit watching the sunset reflect off the mountains. We liked how the city of Grand Lake was a little quieter and more secluded than Estes Park. My husband and I enjoyed every minute of our trip!
The cabin was in a great location for what we were wanting. We wanted something close to RMNP, a small cute town to walk around in, a place with a view and something cozy. The moose cabin has it all.
