Lovingly restored home.

  • 5 of 5

Very impressive updates without detracting from the character of the original home. Steep, narrow stairway to lovely laundry room and bath with walk in shower plus main bath with large jacuzzi tub made showering a challenge for my arthritic knees, but that’s my issue and shouldn’t detract from this great home in a very desirable location. We were a bit chagrined to have so few tv channels available, but it forced us to talk to each other and play cards each evening. High speed internet worked flawlessly. All in all, a very enjoyable stay. I would highly recommend this property to adults with no infirmities.

Girls Weekend Getaway

  • 5 of 5

My four college roommates and I rented The Armitage this past weekend for our 7th annual weekend getaway. We come from Virginia, Pennsylvania, West Virginia and New Jersey and chose Havre de Grace as a location that all of us could get to easily. The Armitage was a perfect place for all five of us to meet and relax for three days. Melania was a fantastic host. She answered all of my questions and emails so quickly and enthusiastically. Her home is beautiful and comfortable. Every one of us commented on how great the beds were and checking in and out could not have been any easier. Everything was spotless. We were able to walk easily to the downtown area and parking for four cars was absolutely no problem. Each of us would stay at The Armitage again in a heartbeat. The only suggestion I have is to put a table and chairs in the backyard because sitting out there at the end of the day as the sun sets is so pretty and relaxing. Thank you, Melania and Millie!

Great Restored Home in Harve de Grace

  • 5 of 5

Great property to stay in - plenty of space yet very warm and cozy. The owner was very easy to work with and all house guidelines were explicit. The house is within walking distance to views of the water and to the shops on Washington St. It is great to have an lodging option like this in the area!

Excellent home away from home for family

  • 5 of 5

We were there for Christmas. The home is nicer than you can tell from the photos.

It had everything we hoped for. It's a warm, comfortable home. The beds are great. The kitchen is big. It's three blocks from the delightful downtown area of Havre de Grace. The bedrooms are larger than they appear in the photos. One bedroom had a large, sunny porch off the room.

This house would be great for a family with young children. It also is great for a family with adult children coming together to visit for a few days. The house allows you to make it your home while you are there.

Beautiful, comfortable and nicely updated!

Honestly the most comfortable bed I’ve ever slept on in a rental! We’ve stayed in 20+ across the nation. Exactly as pictured and described, very accommodating owners and nice location.

beautiful spacious home in the perfect neighborhood

  • 5 of 5

If you're looking for a great place to stay in HdG, this is it. It is within easy walking distance to absolutely everything - both "downtown" and the Promenade - and it is more spacious than the photos reveal. The porch was adorable and the living/dining rooms are open to one another, so it was great for the evening when my sisters and I were just hanging out. In addition, there is a lovely little sunroom off the master bedroom where I did yoga one morning. Just a lovely home to spend a weekend in!
