About this property

Retreat at Saviour Trail, New Mexico for your Reunion or Family get away

Home is about 1500 square feet, set on 10 acres of pasture and woodlands. Carefully decorated for our family—welcoming; seems like home. Knotty pine cabinets and trim with Wood and carpet floors. Gorgeous; private view of the mountains, (7700 elevation). Very peaceful and somewhat secluded. Lots of wildlife: we see elk, deer, and turkey on the property, and have heard mountain lions, and seen evidence of bear. When in season we have several varieties of visiting hummingbirds. Bring your 4 wheelers, bikes, and skies. In the winter there is a nearby (5 mile) ski area; ice-skating in the village; tubing and sledding hills on the property. Ruidoso and White Sands are about 40 miles away. Trail maps for hiking and riding in the vicinity, including maps of Lincoln National Forest are available. Restaurant and shopping guide in the village (Cloudcroft, 7 miles away). Golf-course available at the Lodge, great restaurant!
4-Wheel Drive Vehicle is advisable during the winter!
Horses and pets (for a fee) are allowed.

During the winter months 4 wheel drive is advisable.

Charming getaway
Lovely older cabin with modern necessities, (heat, hot water, electric.) Semi-secluded but near main road to Cloudcroft. Beautiful views off front porch where deer and elk appear in the evening and early morning. Pool table in the basement provided entertainment. Overall a comfortable, rustic getaway in the Lincoln National Forest. Make sure you get detailed instructions on how to access the cabin.

Family home
It was on property. We sledded on snaw, saw elk and turkeys. Quiet. Like staying at my brother's vacation home.

Great place
March 8 through 11 2024 Great host. The only issue we had was there was no Internet or TV. My wife and I had to entertain each other in other ways, egads. 😀. We got our wish for snow, 6 inches. I loved shoveling it. It's a great property to walk around. While there we saw about a dozen deer and 30 elk. We plan on coming back in the fall.

The best Christmas Day
This cabin was everything we wanted to have for an unforgettable Christmas Day. The cabin was cozy and homey. The fireplace was picturesque with the big windows behind it and the trees outside. It was easy to find and had planty of space to park a huge Chevy Express 15 passenger van. The property owner was very easy to get a hold of and very very sweet and kind. This was a most excellent experience. Highly recommend.

Quiet and secluded. Cool in the summer. We also have a treehouse and zip-line on the property, and trails in the woods.
