Have you ever wanted to get away from it all and be in a very basic and simple natural environment? This is it- just like CAMPING or Glamping - on the water. We are no longer on a dock. Please understand that we operate now on DC power for lights, fans, some solar power to assure that the basic systems operate. Boat style bathroom "Heads" and a supply of water to rinse in a boat shower (not for drinking) and lights and fans DC powered. Enjoy the cool natural ocean breezes.

Please tell us if young children under 18 will be traveling with us. We don’t charge for babies or toddlers that mom and or dad - Will be responsible for and they sleep in the same cabin. Please ask us first - Licensed for up to six, however, we recommend 4 maximum for your relaxation and comfort. You may also option for an adventures for overnight off the mooring with crew and provisions, or select either a half day four hours or full day seven hours

We recommend only for over 12 for your young sailors as you are located in an area that is not attached to land access but you may book a water taxi through us with our Mako 20 ft boat or a commercial service. (note: those needing later than 5 pm we will refer to our friends) We will work with you on getting scheduled.

Book now your personal family or friends vacation. Rates are based on double rate either one or two adults or teens up to a maximum of four preferred.

Check with us if more than four as to size and ages of additional adults or teens as the salon couches are also used by crew for excursions at sea exploration and discovery tours.

Our guests have thanked us for reminding them during these difficult travel challenges, weather issues and other emergencies. Due to the nature of our boat stay and sailing business, we issue vouchers only for future stay without penalty and no monetary refunds.

However we like to talk to you about what your situation might be. It is important that you know we normally do not give refunds but do work to reschedule while you are here or in the next year.

We do need to know that you will take the option to reschedule - you can have peace of mind just with a very small investment securing your entire vacation start to finish acquire travel insurance. Airlines are less likely to bump you since they would be required to pay for hotel stay.

What makes the Wild Thing so special? This boat was designed by the America's sailing Team Cup for not only it's smooth sailing and speed, but is the definitive sailboat for charters. It has a hard top and low profile for moving through waves. Built in 1989 out of teak and fiberglass, weighs 14 tons. Two cabins, two bathrooms, and two singles or children may stay aboard on the salon couches.

Your Galley (kitchenette) is set up for you to use with fully set up pots and pans, coffee pot and utensils. We plan to have a DC converter for some cooking options.

Please do not use the gas stove as only the crew allowed to operate this for your safety if you add an excursion.

Note this is a vessel at sea - DC and solar panel power to make sure equipment runs. Personal fans on DC power. Some electric outlets with a DC converter If you must use a generator for something medical please talk to us here first. We have a limited DC receptacles for charging your phone and other medical items.

Minimum Stay is 3 nights but will give you a chance to do a two day schedule during off season plus stay a week or more - we will give you additional discounts on any sailing that you choose either a full day with fishing and snorkeling gear with lunch and snack tray included. Choose a excursion package with crew and take off exploring. We can quote you once you book your basic stay at the mooring package here.

This is a perfect way to live like a local; stay aboard a sailboat and pretend you are the owner and are camping on the water. Similar to staying aboard an rv and all self contained too.

Being at sea you will want to know the choices for a water taxi harbor tour and ride to the boat on your own. We have more than one choice ask and we can share options.

Everyone asks about parking. We know of some free city street parking that is uninsured. For long term parking and other on land vacations park and ride at 300 Grinnell is best especially if you are traveling on extended stay. Only make sure not to bring all your hard luggage on the boat. There is no room for it. However if available free parking in the area near our home and office in middle of Key West.

No smoking please down below and make sure that you ask where to smoke while on board which is only at the back of the boat for everyone's safety and comfort.

Service animals welcome if properly trained and are legally allowed if approved in advance and with a non refundable pet cleaning fee. There is no way to have an animal to relieve itself with “poop walk” unless it is trained to use your travel pads.

Children under 18 may not stay aboard unattended either and all must know how to swim.

REMEMBER If there is any reason to cancel don't worry, be happy. We give vouchers for a return visit with no additional fees. We do reserve the right to not accept reservations unless you agree in writing that you understand our policy - You may also take trip insurance with VRBO or there are other options for trip insurance online that cover not only your stay but will cover airlines and rental cars.
