About Chuck Rusch

We have been in the rental business for five years and enjoy sharing this beautiful area with others.

Chuck Rusch purchased this cottage in 1989

Why Chuck Rusch chose Frontenac

Both my wife and I grew up in south eastern Minnesota and where very familiar with the area. When the time was right to purchase a vacation property we only looked in one area. The cottage is located in the Historic District of Old Frontenac. Nestled amongst the river bluffs you can’t help but relax as you enter this historic village that remains as cozy and quaint today as it was 150 years ago. Walk or bike through this beautiful setting and you will enjoy scenic views of Lake Pepin, historic homes and park like yards.

Guestbook comments from the owner

This well-stocked cottage is a real gem!

Our family of 6 adults decided to gather here for a weekend-long Christmas celebration. We found the clean, comfortable space perfect for relaxing, reading, preparing all our meals, sitting by the fire, playing games, etc.

Chuck was easy to work with and quick to answer questions and make recommendations leading up to our stay.

As for area attractions, we'd highly recommend a trip to the National Eagle Center in Wabasha...

Quiet and relaxing

  • 4 of 5

Quiet and clean, fall proved to be a beautiful time of year to stay. We didn't get to enjoy as much of the surrounding wilderness in our short stay as we would have liked, but we did have a relaxing getaway! A small note if it's important to your stay though, AT&T cell/internet service was unavailable in the immediate area for us.

Comfortable, homey and clean cabin in a great quiet location!

  • 5 of 5

Chuck was awesome! He let us check in early so we could arrive in time to get our son a nap. The house is right between Red Wing and Lake City and is in an adorable and quiet neighborhood. The park across the street was great for playing and we spent a lot of time in both towns. The house is cute, clean and homey. A great place for a family to enjoy a few nights away, together!

Great Minnesota Setting

  • 5 of 5

Perfect setting for us as we returned to our MN roots while enjoying a small family gathering. The cottage well-served our needs with the aesthetically pleasing space which was clean and user-friendly. We loved the festive dishes, serving pieces and art work on display throughout. All of the special touches with the great updated interior added to our enjoyment. Such fun we had exploring the area with such rich history. We walked the streets of the quaint community, hiked in the State Park and visited the various towns along the river.

Chuck was always responsive to any questions I presented. Mary Jane...Colorado
