Lovely lake stay

  • 5 of 5

We stayed for my father's 60th birthday. This cabin was perfect for my large family to spread out for privacy and come together for meals and games. Would definitely recommend for family gatherings.

The owner was easy to reach and answered all my questions.

Great Weekend !!

  • 5 of 5

As soon as you walk in the front door, all I can say is "wow".. Great home and a great view. We enjoyed our stay and are already thinking about renting this house again next year. The house is clean and modern and so cozy. Mike, the owner is very helpful and kind. The only thing I would tell the next renter is, that there are two thermostats for the house, one upstairs and one down. I loved this house !

A lovely cabin in a beautiful, quiet spot.

  • 5 of 5

We came back to this cabin for a family celebration and we were not disappointed at all. It was as nice as the first time. Large open living area and kitchen made it nice to enjoy time together. Beautiful bedrooms and separate baths gave everyone privacy. Enjoyed a BBQ and relaxing on the deck looking out at the beautiful view. Everything was comfortable and clean and well stocked. The owner is very nice and easy to work with. We really enjoyed our time here!

The house is spacious & comfortable through out. It was also clean. The view is fabulous. We enjoyed sitting on the deck with our coffee in the morning & a drink in the evening. I would recommend this house to anyone staying in the area. Great house for a family to get together & enjoy each other.

Spectacular View

  • 3 of 5

Spacious bedrooms and plenty of room for our party of 8. The house itself is at least a 4 star for the views and the accommodations. The kitchen is supremely supplied, for instance. My lack of one star would only be that it the last 2 or 3 miles of road upon approach to the house. It is winding and IMHO rather difficult. This would be the prefect house for a stay of at least 5 days to a week. We used it as a lodging for attendance at a rehearsal night and entire day/night wedding the next day at a resort that is about 12 minutes away. And there are numerous household issues that need to be done upon leaving. Which makes the time element involved not so relaxing at all. If I would have had one more day to actually rest upon the deck and just spend outlooking this stupendous view down to the valley, forest, and Center Hill lake in the distance- the stay would have been at least a 4 star. My 3 star is far better than some reviewers 4. I rent often enough to be fair but not an easy marker. Most renters would star this at least a 4 under any circumstances. It rained heavily the first night and believe it or not, it was beautiful. Stunning to see the birds, sunset etc. in the downpour with all that 1000 shades of green. But be aware that the road is not the easiest by any means. And that you will need to be able to manage many stairs for annex to up and down bedrooms. All the bathrooms and especially the main shower was fabulous. Loved it. Hot water too. You'd be surprised how often that is not the case in rented vacation lodging.

But there are several downsides in the work for a group of this side to accomplish for only being there two nights. And most of that gone on top of it. Garbage has to be taken and sheets have to be removed and a list for other issues to be completed. This isn't always the case so you should know that it is required here. I am just being truthful. The owner is ever helpful with any questions and was readily available by email and phone. Which adds at least 1/2 a star. This is closer to 3.5 star. I would not suggest it for a stay less than 4 days though myself. There are gas stations, grocery opportunities within about 4 or 5 miles. You are not located at great distances from supplies. If you wanted to walk or hike- it is vastly up and down. But it is flat in front of the house and there is plenty of room for 3 cars to park at the different levels.

Terrific views of TN mountains and the eclipse

  • 5 of 5

The "log house" is a modern, comfortable house with 4 bedrooms and 4 bathrooms (2 are full baths). We never got tired of the view from the back deck. Drinking coffee while sitting on the deck each morning and watching the mist rise in the surrounding forest was our favorite way to start the day. The kitchen is well equipped for feeding a crowd. The site is in the country surrounded by nearby public parks, and the house has TV's, games, and books for indoor entertainment. Be aware the the host prefers to communicate via phone & texts.
