Perfect

Very comfortable--we (couple and one teenage son) all slept like kings which we needed to because the days and nights are so full of this beautiful city. Very clean. Very private. Great location--across from the underground (or a short Uber/taxi ride to the music halls and museums). The neighborhood market was perfect for happy hour supplies and breakfast. There was plenty to work with in the kitchen but we just needed the coffee maker and a fridge--the food is just too good here to spend time cooking! Dieter was extremely helpful and gracious (even after I screwed up our meeting time). We highly recommend the property.

Nice flat!

A very nice flat with everything you need for your visit to Vienna. Subway and tram stops within a 2 minute walk. Grocery and restaurants nearby. Owner communicates well and was there to meet us when we arrived.

beautiful apartment

This apartment was exceptionally clean, lovely and convenient, with a contemporary style and attractive, interesting art. It could not have been more comfortable and pleasant--very spacious and well equipped. It was so nice to have a view of the Danube Canal and to have easy proximity to the Metro, although the apartment was so nice we were tempted to just relax at 'home.'

We had a very nice stay. The flat was delivered in perfect condition and clean. Dieter was an excellent host and our party of 4 were all very happy. Grocery store, gym, and train are all right around the corner. Highly recommend.

Excellent Flat

Summary –

Rent this flat! It is in a good location, very clean, very well appointed, safe, and the owner is very responsive.

Details –

In grad school, my wife and I spent four months in Vienna so I know the city fairly well. In addition, professionally, I own/run a large property management company in a resort town in the USA. We are a family of five and spent four nights in the flat (wish we could have stayed longer). That being said, I would very much recommend this flat. Below are some specifics.

Communication – The owner, Dietrich is very trustworthy and responsive. I’m always concerned about this aspect when booking VRBOs (especially travelling with three children) and I trusted Dietrich. He was very responsive, did what he said he would do, and was hospitable.

Location – The flat is located three stops away from the first district (where you’ll spend a lot of time). It’s a three minute walk to the U4 “Friedensbrucke” station and then about a seven minute (easy) ride to “Schwedenplatz”. I think that the cost savings and nice flat are well worth the (small amount of) time it takes to get to the first district (plus riding the U-Bahn is fun. Also of note is that the flat has some pretty good views (which are hard to find closer to town), is south facing and allowed a lot of sun into the flat, and is literally right on the river and bike path (great for running, walks, views, and just relaxing). There are grocery stores in the area. It is very quiet.

Flat – The flat is very clean, modern and everything is very new. One thing that I really appreciated is the fact that it is very well appointed. Dietrich clearly made an effort to have the flat stocked with spices, olive oil, coffee, etc. The dishes/cooking utensils were more than adequate and the espresso machine was appreciated. Beds were comfortable and linens/comforters/towels were high quality.
