About Laura McPherson
We're confident that the vacation home will be to your liking. Enjoy the ambience of a full log cabin, but don't give up the luxuries! Our cabin has been professionally decorated and has all the amenities of a full kitchen, fireplaces inside and out, and a beautiful lake to play in. We love the Northwoods and all of its forests and lakes, and know you will too.
Laura McPherson purchased this Chalet in 2006
Why Laura McPherson chose Land O' Lakes
Land O Lakes is a small community of less than 1000 people, laying on the border of northern Wisconsin and Michigan's Upper Peninsula. Our town is well named, with dozens of lakes surrounding it. We enjoy the hundreds of acres of public land with Nicolet and Ottawa National Forest throughout our area. Come fall in love with it today.

I have to say, this is the nicest house we have rented up in the area.
I can't wait to come back up in the summer and see it for all its beauty.
We will be staying there again for sure.
The big problem that could happen (and I'm sure it has) is if two cars or trucks with trailers meet head on the private drive into the place. Then
you have big trouble, because its only wide enough for one car, and you can't move over because of all the trees, and backing up will be impossible. So come on landlords, cut down some more trees and please widen the drive.
But, aside from that, Hands down, THE best place to stay.
So nice of you to take the time to write, Craig. Yes, it is a narrow, private road. I've forwarded your comments to the condo association President. He's got a pretty good working relationship with some of the owners along Knuth Lane. Maybe he can get it widened.
We are also checking into a place near the airport in Land O Lakes, that is a public parking place, overflow, for snow machine and boat trailers.
Once that is greased, I will put the information in the ad. Let me know your 2020 preferred dates and I'll put you down as a request. I can firm up the reservation in September or October.
Clean, modern and spacious place to stay in Northern Wisconsin!
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and especially enjoyed the many water activities available.
Nice cabin & easy access to snowmobile trails
Stayed in the month of February for snowmobiling. Easy ride from cabin to snowmobile trails. We stayed at the Moose Lodge which has a short driveway with a steep slope. Not enough room for a large trailer (we have a 6 place enclosed) but there was parking for the trailer in the round about. We would return again. Looks like great potential during the summer as well. Right on the lake with nice views.
That was a very good and accurate description! Thank you. Couldn't have said it better myself. We updated the locks on all the lodges and put a spare key safe right by the door. Fail safe, right?!
Hope to have you come again!
A Winter Wonderland
This is a beautiful cabin located up in God's country. We had a great stay that exceeded our expectations. Great people to deal with and we will be back again. Thank you Jo
Sweet. Yes, the cabins are gorgeous in winter especially. Glad you had a great stay. Always happy to have someone love it. Come again!
We stayed at the Bears den over Christmas Vacation with our 2 sons 19 & 21 years of age. It was like -15 to -36 degrees, so didn't do a lot of snowmobiling. We really had much fun with the fooseball table. Enjoyed the beautiful stone fireplace oh so much! 🔥 Went bowling in land o lakes one night, won at the casino, only once! We would highly recommend the Bears den as a clean comfortable cabin with nice bear decor! It was a very a pleasurable stay.
Sounds like it was picture perfect, Dan! My sons are about one year older each than yours, so I can totally relate that it must have been a special Christmas vacation. Yes, it's a pretty nice place to hunker down in when it's cold outside. Thanks for your review and hope you can all come again!
Great week at nice house
Very nice house and quiet area enjoyed the use of the pontoon boat. Lake was nice and clean. Had a relaxing week. Enjoyed spotting the nesting bald eagles. Took a couple drives int Michigan to visit water falls bond falls and Kikabika falls. Found some great food at Black Oak Inn just down the road and Redmans supper club on 45. Really appreciate Eagles nest being pet freindly. Our Golden Retriever always likes her vacations. The property manager Jo was very helpful and easy to reach.
Awesome, Steve! Glad you loved the place and found the eagles. Isn't that cool? You ought to come in the fall next and see how beautiful and peaceful that is there!
Thanks for the shout out and come again!
