The city center is indeed very compact, and the entire attractions are wonderful to combine walking with each other. Only the Vatican is a bit outside, which is to be reached by metro, however, and can be combined very well with the Castel Sant'Angelo.

A beautiful, restful villa, that has everything--and three minutes walk to train station!

  • 5 of 5

I felt like a celebrity having my own private villa with marble floors, several bedrooms and bathrooms, and AC!, all behind a secure fence and gate. My family could relax in peace, and dream of living like Italian aristocracy in our comfortable and spacious get-away. Yet, after a 3 minute walk we could reach Fidene suburban train station which has trains every 15 minutes to Rome Tiburtina station. The train journey is only 15 minutes long, and then you can transfer to the subway and go anywhere in Rome--wonderful! Our reception was perfect, all appliances and furnishings were great, and my whole family is already dreaming of the time we can go back---thank you so much!!!

Excellent property

  • 5 of 5

Had a nice welcome and shown round the property. There were some nice food goodies left for us which were very welcome. Very clean. It had easy access to the train/metro and bus route into the centre of Rome. Found a good Italian restaurant recommended by the owners near by.

Would stay again but would hire a car so we could explore further afield away from Rome centre

Beautiful, charming home!

  • 5 of 5

Villa Simone was perfect for our family. The description and pictures are accurate. It is just a 5 minute walk from the train station. The walk from the train station is partly on a narrow sidewalk, up a hill (paved road), then about 100 feet on the gravel/grass driveway. It was a short walk but may be difficult with a lot of luggage. The property was absolutely beautiful with fruit trees, flowers and privacy. The home was extremely clean and well-maintained. Our family enjoyed the covered patio and large backyard. We ate two dinners outside in true Italian fashion and it was quite heavenly. The kitchen was wonderful with everything we needed - we enjoyed the gas stove, two sinks and the natural light shining in from the terrace. The décor is very nice, high ceilings and large, cute bathrooms. This was a wonderful home away from home for our family of 5 (teenagers ages 13, 15, 16) with plenty of room to spread and out and relax after a busy day exploring Rome. I loved how we felt like we were in the country but were so close to the city. There is also a great grocery store just a short walk down the street and we ate at two restaurants within walking distance. It is a short train ride right into Rome. One night we had to take a taxi and were surprised at how close we actually were to the Tiburtina train station. The owner provided exceptional customer service, having her friend meet us at the train station, and leaving us delicious treats upon our arrival. I would definitely recommend this property to my friends and relatives. In fact, I have been home for 5 days and each morning awake missing Villa Simone... the light, airy living room, the birds chirping, the cool Italian breeze! Thank you Simone for sharing your beautiful home with us!!

Beautiful spacious villa

  • 5 of 5

Tucked away and private, this Villa offers a 'touch of class' to a vacation home! The large gardens with the terraces (one covered and one open) are beautifully maintained and very welcoming. Being just a few minutes walk from the main train line to central Rome makes this an ideal location for visitors. The Villa is well equipped and has every conceivable amenity! We were met by a wonderful hostess who explained in detail the transit systems, restaurants and supermarkets. (Loved the booklet with all the info Police, Hospital and other emergency numbers). The awesome 'goodies' were indeed a welcomed surprise at the end of a long day! Thank you again for allowing us to enjoy your beautiful home! Would recommend this Villa to anyone looking for comfortable, clean and ideally located vacation home.
