Enjoy the comfort and ambiance of this circa 1854 double house Victorian, located in the center of the primary historic district. We are minutes to the beach, adjacent to the main shopping district, and convenient to Cape May’s finest restaurants. You can leave your car in your off-street parking space and walk almost anywhere. We are furnished with some antiques but comfortable sofas and chairs. For added convenience there is a private deck, with furniture and a gas grill. Our kitchen has a stove, refrigerator, and microwave oven. In Summer, a private locker on the beach contains chairs and umbrellas and beach playthings (and plenty of extra space) for your use. Washer/dryer in unit.
The apartment was exactly as described and pictured. It was clean and easy to get in to. The location is perfect; a short walk to the beach, shopping and multiple restaurants. Would definitely stay again.
This was our second year here and it was just as enjoyable as the first. It is a comfortable and well equipped apartment and sooo convenient to everything - the beach, markets, restaurants, Washington mall, etc.
The Victorian design of furniture and wallpaper was not our personal taste; but, if you can look past that, the rental was clean, affordable and In a great location. Our favorite part was the beach storage "box" that was included. No need to carry chairs, toys, boards etc. everything is stored in a locked box right on the sand! Brilliant. Would definitely stay here again!
The home was as advertised with what was in the home, very clean and well-maintained. I would recommend this rental to anyone looking in Cape May, it is centrally located close to shops and restaurants, and to the beaches.
Also, they were very quick about answering any questions about the property.
We were looking into many properties in Cape May, but now we're only checking if one is available.
It's cozy. It's very well stocked with everything you can possibly imagine and much, much more. It's a short walk from everything and in the beautiful Victorian Cape May area.
Our family of four enjoyed our stay so much, every time we looked back at the best time we had in the past year, Cape May is #1 on the list, and staying at this beautifully maintained home really made all the difference.
On a beautiful summer night, the fireflies fly around the property, above the grass in the front of the house. You look around while having a dinner on the porch, and you see them pass by. Almost as if they, too, were provided by this great property owner. Our kids were in the right kind of wonderland in a magical place Cape May truly is.
Oh, one more detail. There were tomatoes left on the table to greet us when we arrived. Stunning tomatoes, mind you, from their own garden. This is exactly the welcome you hope for, an owner with a sense of real hospitality. Class act.
Simply amazing, we came back to the craziness of NYC completely recharged, and can't wait to flee to Cape May again.
This charming second floor apartment in the heart of the town's residential district. The street is pretty and quiet, just two blocks to the excellent Washington Inn, close to all the shops, Our Lady Star of the Sea, and a stone's throw from the beach.
The apartment is most comfortable; eclectically furnished with beautiful pieces from the late 1800's and early 1900's, and very nicely done. The deck is a bonus - the weather was perfect. My husband and I had exchanged books as gifts and found it difficult to leave the comfortable chairs and umbrella table. There is a great grill out there as well.
Robert was a superb host, going above and beyond the call to accommodate us during our stay - and after, as well. I'd left my calling card case behind; he let me know immediately and I was able to retrieve it from the porch at his home a few days later. Thank you, Robert, for sharing your lovely Victorian Apartment with us, and for your gracious consideration and hospitality.
The entire City of Cape May is a National Historic Landmark because of the number and concentration of Victorian architecture and its three centuries of seashore construction. We are known for our family atmosphere, our beaches, and our birds and butterflies.
