excellent property in good location

We have stayed at this location several times in the past year or two. It is on a quiet street with two bedrooms (one with twins), full living and dining rooms and a well-refurbished bath in the art deco style with both shower and tub. Kitchen has everything you need and the in-unit laundry has large washer and dryer. Toiletries and most other essentials are all provided with ample stock of extra sheets and towels. Cable TV, excellent internet and a printer provided which worked great. Booklet in the unit provides activities available in the area and LA generally. Fairly priced. Only downside is that it is a second story unit with no handicapped entry so if stairs are a problem this is not the place for you to choose. We would not stay anywhere else for our frequent visits to family in LA.

Beautiful apartment

This apartment has everything you need including a lot of charm, great books floating around, very nice furniture and stunning 50's art deco California style vibe. Close to shops etc but need to drive to go 'out', but then, it's nice just to spend time at the apartment on the balcony with the sounds of the water fountain.

Excellent value

Return visit to this well-equipped 2 bedroom apartment with great kitchen and bath. Keyless locks are a great convenience. Quiet neighborhood that is convenient to museums including the newly-reopened Peterson auto museum. Off-street parking in a permit-only area is a great bonus. Even the towels are plush. Full size washer and dryer in the unit. Would recommend without hesitation as long as walking one flight of stairs is not a problem (2nd story unit). Already booked the unit for Thanksgiving.

Duplex on 9th revisit

Return visit to this property which offers quiet location with good access to museums and other LA attractions. 2 bedrooms in well-restored 30's duplex. Nicely restored bathroom with shower and tub. Great towels, sheets, toiletries and other amenities. Full kitchen and modern washer-dryer. Clean and ready for us when we checked in. Would highly recommend. Already booked for Thanksgiving.

An oasis of calm in a hectic city

Our group consisted of a family of 4, for which the apartment was perfect. It was quiet, spacious, beautifully furnished, clean and comfortable with all amenities as described. Everything was lovely, the owners had thought of everything necessary for a comfortable stay and we have nothing remotely negative to say. When you open the french windows the sound of water trickling in the fountain outside the building entrance made a lovely sound track to breakfast/lunch/dinner. The availability of a garage was a big bonus (we found out that parking tickets are issued very quickly - we parked on the street when we first arrived, just to go inside and find the key to the garage, and within 5 minutes had received a ticket!). We did not really have time to explore the local area on foot so cannot comment on this aspect, but the property is on a quiet, residential street just a couple of blocks from a main thoroughfare. We have no hesitation in whole heartedly recommending the apartment - we loved it.
