Also a ride with the steam train from Wernigerode to the Brocken (the highest peak in the Harz mountains with 1141 m) is a true experience. The sports offer ranges from hiking or mountain biking in summer to skiing in winter.

For children there is an animal park with free entrance and a summer toboggan run. Also the dripstone cave Rübeland is certainly worth a visit.

The house has something special. Besides its fantastic location and unusual shape, it has been extensively renovated and modern and tastefully decorated. There are 2 bedrooms: one with double bed and one with a single bed, and 2 beds on a bunk bed. In the living room, from where you have direct access to your own covered terrace, you can make yourself comfortable. There is also another 2 person slack couch.
