This bright, airy Vineyard saltbox underwent a complete renovation in 2009. Everything inside is new, including the furnishings and linens. The kitchen is immaculate and fully-equipped, including all new appliances (gas stove, refrigerator, microwave, and dishwasher). There are 3 new skylights, new Andersen windows throughout, and French doors leading to a large deck. This island get-away has central heat and central air-conditioning, and a beautiful mahogany outdoor shower. It is set back over 100 feet from the road, providing privacy with easy accessibility. Enjoy a short walk to the village for groceries, pharmacy and coffee. Bike to beautiful Lambert's Cove Beach, which is accessible only to West Tisbury residents and their lessees. This two-story home is truly Ideal for the whole family with its first floor queen-size bedroom and full bath, and its second floor queen-size bedroom, large second bedroom with three beds, and a 3/4 bath.

All around wonderful place to stay!

We loved our time at David's house. It was a perfect location on the island. The house was clean, and exactly what my family needed during our vacation. Some updates are needed (a large crimp in the carpet upstairs), but it was lovely. The sidewalk picks up about 30 yards from the house, so I didn't trust walking with little kids. We hope to return next year!

This is my second time staying at this exceptional property, and it was even better than last year. David takes great pride in his property and it shows, he has all the bases covered. From the board games, magazines, toiletries, towels, you name or need it this house has it. Outdoor shower, propane grill, etc, etc, etc... I can't say enough good things, centrally located, smack dab in the middle of the island. David keep up the good work, looking forward to staying at your beautiful home for years to come!!!

West Tisbury paradise

We enjoyed our experience with this property very much. The location was extremely convenient. The condition of the house and yard was excellent. The house was more than adequately outfitted with all kitchen, bath and bedding needs. All appliances and mechanical systems worked well. The outdoor shower was the best we have ever had. The owner was very responsive to answer any questions we had. Overall, we had a very relaxing and enjoyable stay!

David and I have both lived in New England our whole lives. He spent summers visiting family in Orchard Beach, ME or going to the White Mountains; I visited family at Revere Beach or in New Jersey. On our first vacation together in 1977, we went to the White Mountains. In 1978, we vacationed in a tiny one-bedroom cottage in Vineyard Haven on Martha’s Vineyard. We had no telephone (and no cell phones!!), limited TV channels, and the world’s nicest couple as our hosts. We fell in love with the beaches, the restaurants, the peacefulness, and the wonderful couple who owned the tiny cottage. We stayed there for one week every summer for the next 9 years until we had an opportunity to buy a place of our own.

Why they chose this property

We want our guests to have a wonderful experience when they visit our home and the Island. We want you to find everything you need to make your stay enjoyable waiting for you at the house. This includes clean comfortable beds; a large state-of-the-art TV; a gas grille with grilling tools; a well-equipped kitchen (although we do not provide food); two bathrooms plus an outdoor shower, and more. You can also enjoy a morning walk to the village where you can get breakfast or pick-up a few groceries and freshly brewed coffee. Our house is professionally cleaned, well-maintained, well-equipped, and easily accessible to some of the most beautiful beaches on the island.

What makes this property unique

One of the many things we love about our home is its location. In the center of the island, you're never far from any of the more "touristy" areas while you're enjoying the Up-Island quiet. You can spend the day at the beach, sightseeing, or visiting shoppes, and come back to a comfortable, relaxing home where you can cook on the grille, watch TV or movies (there are many DVD's at the house and we have access to many movie channels), play board games, or just sit out on the deck and enjoy Mother Nature. You're also just over 2 1/2 miles from Lambert's Cove Beach, one of the most beautiful beaches on the island. (As our guests, you would be eligible to purchase beach passes for Lambert's Cove, which is private for West Tisbury residents.)
