Guests say the pictures fall short of showing off this charming storybook setting. Imagine a quaint Stone Cottage surrounded by huge pines, a secluded Hot Tub across a stone bridge nestled next to a mountain stream, a real wood burning fireplace, Wi-Fi, and a nearby stream-side Fire Pit. There's even an adorable little stone outbuilding we call 'The Bird House' with a sleeping loft, which is heated in the winter - a perfect place for the kids. If you're looking for a unique memorable experience in an unbelievable setting this is it. We know you'll fall in love with this little cabin and extraordinary setting.
This property, offered by Stewart Mountain Lodging, comes with access to other amenities and properties nearby.
You'll love our Zip Line Swing and Fire Pit, not to mention the personal hospitality and gracious guest services of your mountain hosts.

THE 'BIRDHOUSE' : Across the stone bridge is a small two story outbuilding we affectionately call 'The Birdhouse'. The second level is accessed by a spiral staircase and includes a full size bed with an outside balcony directly over the mountain stream.
OUTDOOR DINING: The main deck features an outdoor tall table and chairs (all teak) next to the stream. A truly great spot to enjoy your morning coffee or a little wine and cheese as the evening closes in. The deck and surrounding area is beautifully equipped with subtle outdoor lighting.
I moved into the Storybook Stone Cottage with my youngest daughter when she was only 5 years old and started a 10 year restoration project to preserve this precious place and looking back on it now, most likely to restore myself as well. It is where my heart is and I believe you will feel the love and serenity that this cottage will provide for you as it has for me and my family. I had no idea that 8 years later we would have a lodging company here in Sundance. Our guests often times become our friends. How lucky are we! Please come for a visit and see for yourself. We love making new friends!

While the photos speak for themselves in showcasing this amazing cottage, perhaps the other most unique feature is the mountain stream that runs right next to this cottage. The stream side setting is cool and comfortable in the summer months and tucked away in our Big Pine Canyon just a short 5 min walk to the Sundance Resort. The winter is cozy and charming where the kids can enjoy our quiet lane and hillside for sledding and snowmen. You will fall in love with Storybook Stone Cottage!
Dear Brad and Vicki,
Thank you so much for following your vision and creating such a delightful wonderland for three excited boys and their young-minded parents! We needed a nearby retreat and were planning to just stay in a hotel in Park City- but stumbled upon your website and will forever be lad we did. Instead of just "getting away" for a day we really fell like we escaped to a new adventure. We loved the birdhouse, the boys swam in the hot tub multiple times and especially loved the zip line. We had planned to hike but loved this little paradise so much, we didn't want to leave! Thanks so much for everything- we'll be back!

The owners were so committed to us having a great stay. They checked in several times and dropped off fresh bread and jam!
Perfect in every way! A nice quiet canyon. The most beautiful ridge line in Utah. Heavy spring snow. A just loud enough stream babbling along. We used our cabin as a base camp for about a week while we explored Sundance, Snowbird, and Park City. Nothing beats this cozy, clean, and appointed to perfection cabin. We chose to spend each unscheduled minute here because it was truly a home away from home for us. The Stewart Mountain Lodging staff was absolutely superb. We cannot wait to come back!
What a spectacular visit to Sundance. We had the most amazing time in the Owl Spirit home. Is all I can say is if you are thinking about it- do it!!!!!! I mostly want to thank the Stewart Mountain Lodging staff for the best customer service we have ever had. We rent homes often and have been all over the world- who knew the best service we have ever had would come from our home town just 30 minutes from home. While scheduling our visit I was steered from the Streamside Cottage to the Owl Spirit by Amy; she was a bit concerned that the cottage would be to small for our needs. I was very happy that she gave me all the information I needed then let me chose what would best fit our needs for the week. But that wasn't the end of the superior service provided by the Stewart Mountain Lodge staff. Don't worry I won't bore you with all the details just this one little detail.... I mentioned to the staff while reserving the home that we celebrate my husbands birthday every year by renting a home and enjoy everything he loves with our adult children and their spouses. WOW WEE a fun surprise when we entered the home a delicious chocolate birthday cake for my husband with a candle and ribbon attached. Talk about making an extra effort and attention to detail! Need I say more a great visit and great service. We will be back often- and if you haven't been yet, I highly recommend you give it a try- you won't be sorry. Thank you Stewart Mountain lodging staff for the spectacular hospitality.
I had been craving a place to unplug from everyday life and recharge my spirit. I was excited when I found this magical looking cottage on line. The price seemed high but I was so smitten by the photo I was willing to take a chance. I booked a couple days for my husband, six year old daughter and I.
Immediately upon arrival I knew I had made the right choice! Upon entering the cabin I was greeted by beautiful music and a loaf of fresh bread and jam along with a card welcoming my family and myself. And I did feel welcomed.
The cabin itself is a lovely as the photos. The owner, Vicki, had the cabin remodeled years ago when she lived there with her young daughter. The love that went into the cottage is evident. It is cozy and comfortable. With only three of us we had room to spread out a bit when we wanted moments to read or nap. But the cabin could easily accommodate a couple more.
We enjoyed roasting marshmallows at the fireplace and sitting by the river in the HOT TUB at the end of the day.
The owners are so warm and accommodating. I spoke with Wyatt initially and he was helpful from the first moment until the end of our stay. He never once made me feel as though any of my questions were a burden. It was great to meet Vicki and Brad . They were very welcoming and were so kind to give attention to my daughter. My daughter wanted to help Vicki plant some flowers and I was touched by her willingness to let her help. Their love for the mountain area is evident.
There is a large grassy area a short walk from the cabin. It has a large swing and a zip line that crosses the river. My daughter, husband and myself all took many turns riding it!
My little family and I felt so rejuvenated and connected to each other during our stay. We were sad to leave. We look forward to many more visits to this beautiful cottage in the future! It was worth every penny.
We thought this should be called "Storybrook"! Gracious hosts stopped by with fresh bread and lollipops, and the home has a wonderful ambience right over the babbling brook. Just to be aware, the beds are small and short (fullsize is the biggest), and the ceiling clearance is also short (about 6 feet) walking into the kitchen--not ideal for tall guests. There are no locks on the bathroom door (it is shared by two bedrooms), and the exterior doors of the cottage don't all lock either. The home is only a dozen feet away from the homes on either side, but nevertheless felt private and remote. Parking is tight, so don't bring a large/long car. The bathrobes are exquisitely soft, the home has DVDs and books and CDs to enjoy, and hummingbirds and deer to watch while you eat outside (there is no indoor dining space, but fortunately sitting outside on the patio was refreshing in the mountain setting). Unique and special place!
Storybook Stone Cottage was the perfect place to escape, relax and enjoy all the beauty Utah has to offer. The cottage was clean, warm and inviting upon our arrival. We were thrilled to find a fully stocked kitchen and enjoyed being able to cook some of our meals and enjoy them outside next to the picturesque stream. We loved seeing all the wildlife around us - hummingbirds right on the porch, rabbits, squirrels and turkeys roamed around the yard. The close proximity to Sundance, while having privacy, peace and quite was perfect for us. We traveled to Utah for a half marathon and having a wonderful nights sleep prior to and a hot tub to recover in after was amazing. Wyatt was incredibly kind and helpful, we would recommend to Stone Cottage or any of Stewart Mountain Lodgings other accommodations. We were able to easily travel to Park City, the Timpanogos Caves, Bridal Veil Falls, and hiking at Sundance. We only wished we could stay longer and are eagerly looking forward to returning!
Location, location, location - 5 Minute Walk to the Sundance Resort. The pictures say it all. This is an unbelievable stone cottage, built right on the stream. The Hot Tub is tucked away, surrounded by a stone wall on one side and the stream on the other. It doesn't get any more romantic. This cottage is located on a private lane, secluded from any traffic or noise - other than natures soundtrack - - the delightful sound of the stream. You've got to see this place to believe it.
