Why Betty chose Ranchos de Taos

I have lived in several states, but came here on a motorcycle trip and decided THIS IS WHERE I WANT TO RETIRE! I have a small studio on site where I work on mosaics. This is a magnificent location to set as a central point for day trips for UNBELIEVABLY beautiful scenic rides! Skiers....the house is centrally located between Taos Ski Valley and Sipapu Ski Resort. Come check it out!! You wont regret it!

Enjoyed Our Second Stay!

  • 5 of 5

This was our second stay at this lovely guesthouse. It is just what we wanted for exploring Taos and the surrounding area. The casita is newly re-decorated with lovely furnishings and is comfortable and clean. It is a joy to sit by the fireplace in the evening and relax after a day of exploring. The owner, Betty, is available if needed and is most knowledgeable about the area. Thank you for making our stay so pleasant and for the little things - the pastries from Michael's Kitchen and the beautiful flowers you had on our arrival. We look forward to another Taos visit.

Amazing Getaway!

  • 5 of 5

We loved meeting Betty and staying at her little casa. She's thought of everything to make you feel at home. The cabin is clean and beautifully furnished. It's on her gated property so we always felt safe. She has the perfect peaceful getaway. I highly recommend.

Absolutely beautiful!

  • 5 of 5

Pictures don't do this place justice. The perfect place to come "home" to after a day of exploring Taos. There is so much to do and so many good food joints to eat at in Taos, but my husband and I found ourselves ready to be back in our (Betty's) little adobe house sitting on the couch by the fire! Betty is so accommodating and went above and beyond to make sure we had everything we needed for our stay. We will DEFINITELY be back!

Great place to stay!

  • 5 of 5

This is a free-standing guesthouse on the gated grounds of a private residence. Well located and very private. 5 minute drive to Taos, yet still in a quiet rural area. Excellent easy access and parking. Cable TV and broadband Wi-Fi. Good cell reception. Separate bedroom, living area, small full kitchen and bath with large shower and reliable hot water. Everything was in good repair and worked flawlessly.

Betty is a great hostess who met us on arrival, then gave us great privacy. Delicious fresh blueberry muffins were in the kitchen on our arrival, along with bottled water, K-cup coffee and fresh flowers. Pantry had lots of what we needed (salt, sugar, cooking oil, etc.) so check on what's already there before going to the store. We arrived just after a rainstorm, and the hollyhocks were blooming 4 feet tall all around the guest house, with hummingbirds buzzing around during morning coffee on the porch. Nice patio with BBQ grill and outdoor table with seating for 4. Great trout streams in the Sipapu area just 20 minutes away. The guesthouse and grounds were meticulously clean, and the house was well supplied with everything we needed, so we had an easy, excellent and comfortable stay with no worries. Enthusiastically recommended.

Wonderful place to stay! Very quaint and cozy!

  • 5 of 5

My husband and I made a quick trip to Taos to ski. We loved this place. The reviews were spot on. Betty was a fantastic host! She greeted us with delicious cookies upon arrival. The casita was conveniently located right in the middle of both ski resorts (Sipapu & Taos Ski Valley). The casita was nicely decorated and made you feel right at home. The bed was so comfortable, which was very nice after a long day of skiing. We would recommend this place!

Picture Perfect

  • 5 of 5

Thanks Betty for the use of your neat casita. Everything was just as described, even better. We really enjoyed seeing the stars at night that reminded us of those of our childhood. We would recommend this casita to anyone wanting a quite relaxing vacation. Loved Taos.
