Overview

Photos and Description of this Sedona holiday cottage

1 bedroom, 1 bathroom cottage, sleeps 3.

This delightful Sedona cottage is surrounded by trees and lush gardens, attracting a wide variety of birds and butterflies, and creating a heightened sense of peace and sanctuary in this space.

Perfectly situated in a quiet West Sedona neighborhood, the cottage is within walking distance to boutique shops, restaurants, a bike rental shop, Whole Foods, Natural Grocers, movie theatres, Starbucks, and more. Other services, major shopping hubs, scores of art galleries, jeep-tour pick-up points, and many hiking trail heads are just a few minutes away by car.

For birders and nature lovers this is an exceptionally good location - less than 10 minutes to Red Rock State Park and only 15 minutes to two Important Bird Areas that attract over 120 bird species.

For those with metaphysical interests, the property sits at the base a major Sedona vortex. Many people report experiences of heightened intuitive abilities and deep spiritual insights while spending time in or near this zone.

The property includes a fully equipped and spacious (1,000 sq, ft,) 1br/1ba floorplan that will very comfortably accommodate 2 people. A roll-away bed is available to accommodate a third guest.

The owner has been renting this property for many years, but is fairly new to the HomeAway and VRBO advertising venue. To see a more extensive list of reviews on this property, visit Vacation Home Rentals.

About Michele Fitzgerald

I started visiting Sedona over 30 years ago for spiritual activities, my love of nature (great hiking opportunities), and to explore nearby archaeological sites. My heart was captured on my first visit and I decided then that I would eventually move to the area--which I did in 1992. At the time of my move I owned a sales training company in the San Francisco Bay Area and I commuted to work from Sedona for over 10 years. Eventually I made a transition to the work I do today, which is helping people learn how to make practical use of their intuitive skills.

I love Sedona and plan to live here for the rest of my life. I know a lot about the area and am happy to help with suggestions on things to do before or once you get here, whether your interests relate to the spiritual/metaphysical aspects of Sedona, holistic healing services, the art community, hiking/nature, best restaurants (I'm a life-long foodie), and more.

What makes this cottage unique

The unique benefits of this property are its gardens and very green surroundings, along with the tone of peace that permeates the home and land as a by-product of Feng Shui treatments and other subtle energy work that has been completed over the years by the owner, who is a professional geomancer. Because of all the trees and flowering plants (Spring, Summer & Fall), many birds and butterflies visit the property, including orioles, cardinals, hawks and owls. Another unique feature that guests love is the fully furnished patio. This sizable outdoor space (400 sq. feet) hosts a wood burning fireplace and is an ideal place to experience the birds, the stars, romantic dinners, quiet meditation, or a glass of local wine and a good book. Finally, the location is perfect. The property is nicely tucked away from the tourist hustle and bustle, yet it is still within easy reach of everything Sedona has to offer. Walk to natural food stores, coffee shops, movie theatres, thrift shops, art galleries, and boutique shops. Hop into your car and with just a 2-3 minute drive you have access to scores of additional restaurants, the main tourist hub, more art galleries, local parks, the Sedona community pool, day spas, and more.

Cozy retreat with beautiful yard

  • 4 of 5

The Owner met us shortly after our arrival and explained the details about the home. She is very helpful, accomodating and responsive if needed. The location is quiet, several blocks south of 89A and the yard is full of trees, shade and beautiful plantings - every color of rose included. The outdoor area is very private and peaceful. The home was clean, was as pictured and includes many conveniences from kitchen items to sunscreen, movies on DVD, laundry soap, etc. I loved all the windows in the family room/kitchen which brought view of the beautiful yard closer including the sounds of active birds. The home is a little dated but in good, clean condition and all is in good repair. This home is very comfortable and quiet with a comfy bed. The location is excellent, just south of 89A, close to an expanded Whole Foods store and other grocers, restaurants, trail heads, etc. I would definitely consider this rental again in the future.

A truly relaxing home

  • 5 of 5

My wife Sandy and I just left Michele's property, Willow Cottage. We wanted to extend our stay a further 4 days, but unfortunately for us, the following dates were not available. What a shame. This property is in a very quiet neighbourhood. The yard is an oasis in this desert climate. An oasis of serenity. The cottage itself is very comfortable, with all of the amenities of home. If you are coming to Sedona we would highly recommend that you stay here.

Michele is a wonderful person, with a lot of local knowledge, and pointed us to one of our favourite hikes here so far, on the Bell Weir Trail. So very happy to have met you Michele.

The Best Vacation Ever!

  • 5 of 5

The minute we stepped out of the car we were greeted by the most wonderful smell of the Confederate Jasmine vine growing on the picket fence. The outside of the home is like a fairytale cottage. The ambiance of the house is amazing with lots of windows and natural light filling the living area. We were very comfortable and loved coming “home” every evening to the cottage and the gardens with the beautiful patio complete with fireplace. There is truly something special about this home. Michele was very knowledgeable about Sedona and the surrounding area and was very helpful in planning our itinerary. Thanks Michele for sharing you cottage and helping to make our Arizona vacation wonderful!

Just What We Were Looking For!

  • 5 of 5

Looking for an escape from the brutal Chicago winter and a bit of everyday life, we found this cottage was just what we needed. The property is beautiful, private and peaceful. The cottage is spacious, clean and comfortable. The location is great. Michele provides little extras in the home to use for your stay including valuable information of Sedona and things to do around the area. We enjoyed being out and about; hiking, exploring, eating and the local entertainment. We wish we had more time to stay and enjoy the serenity of the home and property; as it was so relaxing. She also has a collection of interesting books. We really enjoyed our stay in Sedona and the cottage. Michele, thank you, we hope to revisit again soon.

Charming, Comfortable and Convenient!

  • 4 of 5

Thoroughly enjoyed my stay here. Close enough to easily access everything, downtown, viewing the Red Rocks, vortexes and in a lovely neighborhood setting. The lush gardens & patio were delightful and the ambience of the home is very relaxing. Be sure to discover the surprise when you turn out your bedroom light at night! I would definitely stay here again and the owner, Michele made everything as easy as possible!

The Cottage is the BEST!

  • 5 of 5

The Cottage in Sedona proved to be the best place for us to stay while vacationing in Red Rock country! It is delightfully furnished, has all the amenities necessary and the outside areas are inviting. The owner was most helpful and available (we had a rental car flat tire during our stay) - it made our trip the best one yet!!
