About Allen Pye
We live about 20 miles southeast of Big Canoe in the historic city of Cumming. We purchased our first vacation rental home in Big Canoe in 2007 and now manage two properties in Big Canoe.

Why Allen Pye chose Big Canoe
This is our second vacation rental in Big Canoe. We purchased our first home in 2007 and have had great success with the rental business. We love the mountains and it's so close to Atlanta. Many mountain communities are several hours from Atlanta, but Big Canoe is only one hour. It's a short drive but you feel so much more relaxed at Big Canoe, away from the hustle and bustle.

The only thing we didn’t realize is that we could not put our gas powered boat in the lake.
Something for everyone in Big Canoe
We had a lovely, relaxing week with our children and grandchildren. Hiking, boating, pool time, playing games at the house. Grocery was close and had everything we needed. House had great wifi and cell svc. Roku box allowed us to sign into accounts for TV. Space to spread out. Nice side screened deck. Steep grade of road/lot and limited parking at the house are downsides, however plenty of overflow space at the nearby tennis Ctr. Kitchen was stocked w plates, glasses, and utensils, however could use some organization and new pans and knives. I would have preferred become hotel style washable sheet-covered down comforters, which feel so much cleaner than bulky, dated bedspreads. Upstairs bedrooms lack room darkening curtains. No motorcycles allowed inside the complex, one of our guests was turned away and had to park at grocery store. We will come back to Big Canoe!
Wonderful getaway at Big Canoe!
This was the perfect property for a quiet getaway. Our family really enjoyed a long weekend at this property in Big Canoe! The property owner was fantastic every step of the way. We will definitely try to stay here again next summer!
Perfect Set Up
Great property. Perfect set up for our 4 couples as each had their own bedroom and bathroom. Rec area was great and porches were abundant and relaxing. THANK YOU!
