About this property

This cozy and homely furnished vacation home is nestled in forests and fields at the foot of the Eisenberg and offers wonderful peace and relaxation.

On the first floor there is a living room, kitchen, bathroom and two bedrooms, one of which has a bunk bed. The upper two bedrooms and the bathroom are accessible via an open stone staircase.

For recreation, there is a trim trail, hiking trails and a swimming spot on the lake nearby.

In about 2 km distance you will find shopping facilities, including bakeries, butcher, supermarkets, and also restaurants, café, pharmacy, doctor, gas station, bank and post office. The municipality of Oberaula is a climatic health resort and belongs to the tourist region of Rotkäppchenland, which invites you to explore culture and nature in the footsteps of the Brothers Grimm and their fairy tales.

In addition to hikes in the densely wooded area of the Knüll Mountains and its foothills, cycling tours on the Rotkäppchen-Bahnradweg (Little Red Riding Hood Railway Cycle Path) are also an option. Golf enthusiasts will also find their luck on the attractive 18-hole golf course 1 km away. There you will receive a discount on the green fee as a guest of this vacation property.

In summer, the forest swimming pool in the Katzbachtal, 1.5 km away, offers refreshment and it is just 5 km to the swimming lake in the Kirchheim lake park with water skiing facilities. In the colder months, the Aqua Fit family pool and sauna world in Bad Hersfeld (about 25 km) is a good alternative. Fishing is possible at various lakes. The tennis club Oberaula is happy to offer its facilities for you. Canoeing on the Fulda and play adventures in the Jahnpark Bad Hersfeld are great experiences.

Lohnt sich

Wir waren zu neunt da, was beim Essen etwas eng wurde. Auch die Sofas waren dafür zu wenig. Aber sehr ruhige Lage. Läden wie REWE oder Edeka ganz nahe.

Langes Wochenende (5 Erwachsene, 3 Kinder)

Wir waren im Oktober von Mittwoch bis Sonntag vor Ort. 5 Erwachsene, 3 Kinder (2, 4 und 6). Für unsere Ansprüche absolut ausreichend, schön ruhig gelegen, großer Garten. Ein bisschen Staub in den Ecken, aber wen stört das. :-) Anmerkungen: Die Einzelbetten im Untergeschoss sind recht klein, für 1,80m oder größer wird es schon eng. Und die Nachtspeicherheizung hat dafür gesorgt, dass es in der ersten Nacht etwas fröstelig war. Danach aber wunderbar warm. Toller Kamin. Durften am Sonntag unseren Abreisetermin individuell ausmachen, auch später als 10 Uhr. Insgesamt auf jeden Fall empfehlenswert!
