This is really a fantastic property in a geeat place, beautiful surroundings and has everything we need in a short distance, including various historical villages such Gordes, Roussillon, Isle sur La Surge, Bonnieux, Fontaine de Vaucluse and many others within half an hour drive, what makes a tour around the region an unforgetable journey.
The house itself is just perfect for a family or a group of friend's reunion. Considering its typical charminho Provence architecture the interiors are modern and plenty of ammenities that give guests good comfort. The rooms are big, nicely decorated, plenty of closets and the bathrooms are well equiped and comfortables. The living room is very spacious, with a high wooden ceiling and it is perfect for the gathering of the group for meals around the 18 places nice dining table or the living/TV/ sound space. It is also good to count with the free Wi-Fi internet access around the internal parts of the house. The service área is generous, big enough to prepare meals with a very well equiped kitchen. On the internal outside part of the house we find a nice pool with a beautiful lawn and garden with a small lavander field ideal for suntanning and/or barbecues. Among the best thing of this property is the full time assistance we received from Rémy and Caroline, the property administrators that can help to resolve problems and even assist with other requests that the group may have regarding their stay, even of not directly related to the house itself. Another good point was to deal directly with the owner Patrick, who is gentle and supportive to his client's needs.
So, our experience of celebrating my wife's birthday with our 2 sons and 4 couples of friend's for a entire week at the well named " Terre and Lumiere" property was a real beautiful and great experience that all of us are willing to repeat in the near future.

Overall, wonderful, totally agree with the other 5 star reviews below.
Our family of 12, 5 adults and 7 kids( ages 9-18 years)stayed here for one week. The house was perfect and exceeded our expectations. It was clean, quiet, spacious, tastefully decorated, with lovely furniture and paintings throughout.
The pictures really don't capture the beauty of the home and gardens.
The master suite is huge but all the other bedrooms are plenty big with en-suite bathrooms. The air-conditioning was a must for us and the washer and dryer was also a plus.
The gardens are gorgeous with multiple outside seating areas, the pool is great, table tennis in the yard and 2 tennis courts across the street.....what more do you need!
The location was exactly what we were looking for.....the small town of Cabrieres d'Avignon is 15 minutes walk away. It has a wonderful butcher( great meats), baker( for the fresh daily baguettes and croissants), and small grocer that seems to carry everything you might need.
We had dinner in town on 2 occasions and it was great to be able to stroll home on the quiet roads under the stars. We put the outdoor grill to good use also.
There are several towns( Gordes ,Roussillon, Isle Sur La Sorgue) within 10-20 minutes drive that are lovely and make time to hit one on market day.
Patrick, the owner was easy to work with; he answered all emails promptly with helpful suggestions for our trip.
Remy and Caroline, the care takers, are fabulous also and they were a great local resource. They prepared a delicious meal for us on our first night.
Overall, fantastic.......one week was too short. We look forward to returning in the future!
We spent two weeks at this lovely villa! The previous posts have said it all. A huge thank you to Remy and Caroline for taking such good care of us. We were a group of 9 and had plenty of space to stretch out and lots of privacy with ensuite bathrooms in each bedroom. The air conditioning and swimming pool were a blessing in the heat. We enjoyed our morning walks into Cabrieres d'Avignon for croissants, as well as our tennis, petanques and ping pong matches. The grounds are lovely, and we enjoyed our trips to the various villages in the area - so much to see! Our one day wine tour was also a highlight!
We are home now and missing the smells of jasmine and lavender, the fresh produce, incredible wines and cheeses!
We rented this gorgeous villa with another family for Half-term - end of October 2012. We had the most brilliant week - we were welcomed by Remy and Caroline - a lovely couple who could not do more for us during our stay. The villa is so much more spacious and gorgeous then the photos show - it really is huge but works so well as it is all on one level. It is equipped with everything you could need - even tennis racquets! We made plenty of use of the tennis courts and rented bikes for the week that were delivered to the villa and even had a chef come in and cook supper for us one night. We would love to return soon!
Beautiful house, pool and grounds. Great location to explore rest of Luberon. The 5 guest bedrooms (4 in house + pool house) were nicely appointed with ensuite baths. The spacious kitchen was well equipped for our dinner parties. The pool is not heated but Sept weather was warm enough for a few laps and plunges. Wonderful landscaping all around the property, with plenty of gathering spots, ping pong table and petanque. While Gordes is a little too far to walk to, it's an easy 15 min stroll to Cabrieres d'Avignon. Short drive to Coustellet for grocery shopping (although village markets are more fun - Coustellet on Sun, Gordes on Tue); about 1 hour drive to Avignon (due to traffic). Caretakers were super.
We stayed in this wonderful villa together with our close friends and their children. Two families seeking that "Provence experience" and we couldn't have found a better place to stay in.
Turning into a gravel road from the main road we were welcomed into the property by a rustic driveway with a view of olive trees on the left and a vineyard on the right and the smell of lavander from the low bushes surrounding the area.
From outside, the villa had all the charm of the surrounding architecture that you see around the village of Gordes but we were happily surprised to find that the house was equipped with all the modern amenities we were used to. Aiconditioners in every room, all 5 rooms each with its own toilet and bath. TV and video player. Fast internet. Towel heaters for warm and dry towels every shower.
It was still early spring and the temperatures would go down to 12 degrees centigrade at night. It was great having under floor heating which allowed the kids to run around barefoot on the stone floor while their toesies were toasty warm. The living room and the dining room have high ceilings and a raised fireplace was great comfort and ambience during some cold nights.
Our deal was to eat out at least once a day to sample provencal cuisine in Provence. We would walk to a nearby michelin rated restaurant or drive out short distances to surrounding villages like Rocillon, Lourmarin to try out their fare.
But the home cooked meals we're equally sumptuous.
We had a great time shopping at the farmer's markets around the area. (There was at least one market day in one nearby village somewhere). My wife couldn't be held back from buying local produce and trying out recipes from the cookbooks available in the villa. The tomatoes available at the time were the sweetest we had ever tasted. My kids had started to tease me about being "tomato man" because I kept going on and on about the tomatoes.
We were also blessed with 5 days of glorious sunny days. We made good use of the pool and baked in the sun and barbecued by the porch.
Location is central and it was an easy drive to the nearby towns.
We hope to go back next year and make it to Marseilles for an authentic Bouillabaisse.
In the heart of Provence, enjoy the tranquil spirit & beauty of the Luberon Mountains- biking, hiking, sight-seeing,promenading, picnics & trying all the little restaurants and enjoying the Rosé and other wonderful wines of the area. Markets are a must & every village has their own special one. Truly a memorable experience to cherish forever.
