This delightful vacation cottage with private terrace is situated on a 5,000 m² plot at the foot of Mont Ventoux. You share the lovely pool with the guests of three other properties, including FPV468 and FPV469. The pool area spoils you with an unobstructed view of Mont Ventoux, or the 1,909-meter-high giant of Provence, which arouses great enthusiasm not least among cyclists and hikers. In winter, when it is covered with snow, it also attracts many views from afar. You will stay here on the edge of a mountain village, which will spoil you with a breathtaking panorama at an altitude of 363 meters. Just 10 km away is the popular town of Carpentras at your feet, and 30 km away you can experience Avignon with its magnificent parks and the former papal palace. Also worth a trip is L'Isle-sur-la-Sorgue, known worldwide for its many antique and junk stores. The Dentelles de Montmirail with their bizarrely shaped mountain ridges are only 10 km away. There you will find good conditions for climbing and hiking, and also some of the officially most beautiful villages of France are waiting for your visit: Gordes, Le Barroux, Venasque, Séguret, Vaison, Sault and Roussillon are all beautiful places within a radius of less than 30 km. With this vacation home, nothing stands in the way of a successful vacation in the Vaucluse.

Hôtes sympathiques et gentils mais....

Dès notre arrivée, on nous donne un tournevis pour nous expliquer comment ouvrir le couvercle de la lessiveuse dont la poignée est cassée, porte du WC qui ne ferme pas et dont on a dû réparer la chasse qui coulait par 2 fois sur le séjour, par une journée de très grosse pluie, les propriétaires nous ont gentillelent apporté des torchons car il pleuvait a l’interieur (Nous avons dû mettre une bassine), on nous a installer 2 vieux radiateurs pour nous permettre d’avoir chaud, en voulant retirer une fiche électrique du mur, c’est toute la prise qui partait, propreté très très limite, la porte qui ferme le logement laisse passer un jour d’environ 1 cm, installation électrique certainement non conforme vu le nombre de rallonges utilisées et « sucre » pour assembler 2 parties de câble électrique. Et je ne parle pas de la hauteur de plafond de la mezzanine qui permettrait à peine à un enfant de 10 ans de se tenir debout. Personnellement, je trouve même un petit prix est cher pour ce logement. Première experience de location de cette façon qui s’avere plutôt negative mais peut être pas la dernière car le système est très bien. Une seconde tentative sera faite....ailleurs bien sûr !

1 nacht verbleven....

De eigenaars zijn vriendelijk, de vakantie woning oogt goed op foto, in het echt …. stonk naar urine, veel mankementen; kapotte wasmachine, wc trok niet door, alles gaf een verwaarloosde indruk, huisje staat in een 'hoekje' met lamentabel terras (met hondenharen aan de muurtjes) en uitzicht op....? Zwembad zag er onappetijtelijk uit, de honden hebben ons verwelkomt en waren supper vriendelijk, lief beest maar niet nodig op mijn vakantie (staat niet vermeld op de site!!)….. Kortom wij voelden ons daar zo ongelukkig, spraken erover met een familielid die daar in de omgeving woont, en hij bood ons een tijdelijk verblijf aan, daarna hebben we een andere locatie gevonden. De eigenaar vond het geen probleem omdat 'tout est payer'....Dubbel betaling dus maar dat hadden we er voor over om een gelukkige vakantie te hebben. Na ong 40 jaar vakantie's in Frankrijk (verschillende locatie's) is dit de eerste keer dat we zo'n slechte ervaring hebben, dit huisje was zeker niet ons ding.

I was initially trepidatious going in to a new rental. I was new to VRBO. However...

The property was breathtaking! There's a beautiful view of the mountains. It's located near a few good restaurants. The cottage itself has an open concept layout with loft and closeted toilet (indicative of Europe). Our host was a beautiful older man with a kind heart and the patience to communicate through broken French and zero understanding of English. It's a very special place if you want to get away from the hustle and bustle of the city.
