Location, Location, Location! This gem was built by Avelle Goerz is located near the center of the historic district. This circa 1871’s townhome is almost all original construction, an addition has been added to the back of the home for modern kitchen and bathrooms. The main part of the home has the original heart pine floors, pocket doors, four fireplaces, an antique deep cast iron tub, and a second-floor bedroom balcony. Amenities include a washer/dryer unit, Cable, Flat Screen TV, Wi-Fi, central heating & cooling two systems upstairs and down. Two private off-street parking places, a premium in Historic Savannah's downtown, few homes offer.

Beautiful Property and Convenient to Everything
We arrived to find the property clean and inviting. The check-in process was very easy. We were very impressed by the furnishings and the ambiance of the property. The beds were comfortable, and the step stools to get into the bed in he owner's suite were very helpful. The front bedroom can be a little noisy as it is next to the street. Our family members had a white noise machine which was helpful on Friday night (motorcycles and loud music). There were also extra pillows which were helpful as well. The only thing that would have made it a perfect stay would have been the availability of paper towels, facial tissue, and kitchen linens. We will attempt to book this propert on our next visit! Thank you Steve!

Location, location, location. Wonderful, warm and comfortable with lots of charm. We loved our stay here and the communications with Steve was great. He was very quick with responding to any questions we had. The only thing we wished was different was to have 2 showers instead of having one shower and one tub.

Girls Weekend
The house is great. The location of the house is on a nice quiet street. Your proximity to shopping, squares, restaurants, ghosts and all things Savannah are all within a short stroll. The house was clean and exactly how it is presented in the listing. The kitchen had everything you would need to use. It was nice that there wasn't an abundance of other people's food items left behind in the fridge or cabinets. Overall our trip to Savannah and lodging were perfect!

Fantastic property
We loved the location of this town home. It was easy to walk to everything in the hostoric district. The home itself is lovely and meticulously clean. There is loads of historic charm in this house, combined with just the right amount of modern convenience. The beds were comfortable and welcoming after a long day of exploring. Our host Steve was a great communicator and the check in and out was simple. We will be coming back on our next trip to Savannah. Thanks Steve!

I'm retired, when I had a business, I purchased the home in late fall of 2001. I lived many years in the townhouse, before purchasing another home in Richmond Hill on the Marsh. We still enjoy staying off and on during the year, it seems more in the winter Months as it is off season and more of the locals come out for dinning and events happening downtown. It feels like the old Savannah of the past I came to love so quiet and peaceful.

Why they chose this property

I picked this townhouse as it had not been altered from the original construction. It still has the feel of living in Savannah back during the 1800, very little has been changed from how it was originally built. with the original woodwork, pocket door between the parlor and dining rooms, staircase, and the beautiful heart pine floors. If you are in love with historic homes like me, you will love this townhome. The second reason was the townhouse's near ideal location, the center of the historic district on a boulevard with much less traffic noise. Everything is within walking distance, and the added bonus of onsite private parking, patio with a palm tree.

What makes this property unique

Parking is at a premium downtown; we have two private parking places on the property. We also have free parking in the front of the town house. The home is located between Habersham and Price Streets. The row houses were built in two sections both have different architectural features my home is in the oldest section near the center of the block with the only balcony in the front, the front of my home was in the Clint Eastwood's Movie "Midnight in the Garden of Good and Evil" as the Row house with the blue painted front door next to mine "Lady Chablis" came out of during the movie and walked in front of my home. I've furnished my home with all the antiques I have collected over the years. We have a Major Movie Studio Here in Savannah so don't be surprised to see Movies being shot downtown.
