The apartment is on the outskirts of Nossentiner Hütte surrounded by the forest of the natural park Nossentiner / Schwinzerheide. The natural park Nossentiner / Schwinzerheide consists of extensive pine forests, glass-clear lakes such as the Drewitzer lake, but also from nutrient-rich lakes, moors, dunes, moistened meadows, dry lawns and heathlands. Some parts are the European birdwatching area, as Great Cootfish, Sea and Fish eagle breed here. On the Sparower Teerschweer farm in Nossentiner Hütte, you will be shown how charcoal and tar were won. The extensive forests of the Nossentiner / Schwinzerheide offer relaxing cycling and hiking trails. Nossentiner Hütte is located about 7 km north of Malchow. The city of Malchow is located in the midst of the Mecklenburg Lake District - and this can be taken literally. Malchow is also called island town, because part of the old town - so also the town hall - is located on an island in the middle of Lake Malchow. An earth dam connects the island on one side with the mainland. And on the other hand, a newly-revamped bridge performs its indispensable work. Always at the full hour opens the slewing bridge and the waiting sailing boats and ships can finally pass. Many tourists often live with this drama. Right next to the Drehbrücke at the Stadthafen, the excursion steamers leave for their trips over the Plauer See to Plau am See. Cyclists can take their bikes with them. Opposite the town harbor of Malchow the impressive monastery church stretches into the sky. It is the landmark of the city of Malchow and part of the monastery complex. There you will also find the Organ Museum. The GDR Museum in the old cinema houses many daily things from the GDR period and thus brings the everyday life of a little closer to the visitors. The biggest festival in Malchow and thus the highlight is, as every year, the Malchov folk festival. It takes place as always on the first weekend in July and has been included in the German directory for the intangible UNESCO World Cultural Heritage. In the wooded area of Malchow, several lakes invite you to bathe: Lake Plauer, Lake Malchow and Lake Fleesen. And if the sky is cloudy, you can use the LAND FLEESENSEE SPA nearby. Other water sports activities are also possible. In and around Malchow horse riding rides will be a hit, because many riding stables even with riding arenas are on site. Also bowling, bowling, tennis (also in the hall), golf, ... At the gates of the city are the monkeys! A horde of Berberaffen populates the monkey forest Malchow. She is as popular with the children as the summer toboggan run located there.
