GERLIS - relaxed holidays in a renovated village house near skiregions

Are you looking for accommodation near Lucerne and Interlaken? Do you like an authentic atmosphere? Then you will love your stay in a renovated, typical village house right next to the Alpnach-Dorf train station.

GERLIS is a 3-room apartment (80 m2) on the first floor. Fresh, avant-garde, special. With kitchen-living room, garden and small fitness room.
Pilatus, Titlis, Rigi and four ski areas are only minutes away. Wi-Fi, TV, free laundry. Shopping in the village. In five minutes in the nature.

Apartment GERLIS provides the following rooms / beds: 3 bedrooms with one double bed each (6 beds). The double beds can be pulled apart and used as single beds. If required we can provide an additional bed. A baby bed is available for small children.

The kitchen offers everything you need to cook and enjoy. With a large table for six people. By the way, you can watch TV from the kitchen table.

The bathroom is spacious and contains everything you need for personal hygiene. Towels, bathrobes, shower gel and shampoo are provided.

Our guests have access to the following rooms:
- Fitness room on the ground floor
- Laundry room with washing machine and tumble dryer
- Garden with playground, pergola with table and six chairs to eat outside

We live in the same house, third floor. If you have any questions, we are always here for our guests. We are happy to support them with tips and suggestions for excursions in the surroundings. Would you like to explore the region off the official tourist trails? We will gladly tell you our walking tips.

Our guests appreciate the short distances from Alpnach: Lucerne 15 minutes, Interlaken 30 minutes, Pilatus 5 minutes, Titlis 30 minutes, etc. The Titlis, Melchsee-Frutt, Lungern-Schönbühl and Hasliberg ski areas are only 15 to 40 minutes away.

Obwalden is one of the most typical landscapes in Central Switzerland: unspoilt, varied and intact. In summer it is a brilliant region for hikers, mountain bikers and motorcyclists. In winter it is a paradise for skiers and snowboarders. In addition, numerous beautiful villages and towns, interesting places and places of interest are waiting to be discovered. If you are looking for nature and recreation, this is the right place. Those who practice sports at the highest level also get their money's worth.

Please note that the Guber-house offers two holiday apartments: The apartment GERLIS on the first floor and the apartment BARLIS on the second floor.

One guest parking space is available per apartment. You travel with more than one car? No problem. There is a public parking lot 50 meters away. Additional parking spaces cost CHF 5 per day.

Alpnach lies in the canton of Obwalden, in the heart of Central Switzerland. Our house is located right next to the railway station. This is a decisive advantage for our guests. Within five minutes they are on the train.

The Guber-house is located on the outskirts of the village. This is also an advantage, because we are integrated into the village, but not in the middle of it. Within five minutes from us you can reach the recreation area and the water.

The Swiss railway is punctual, comfortable and has a very well developed network. You can get everywhere by train, even to remote places. From the apartment you can reach the train station in five minutes.
By car you are within five minutes on the motorway A8. Another five minutes away, one reaches the turnoffs to Gotthard, respectively to Basel and Zurich.
Most of the interesting excursion destinations can be reached from Alpnach within 10 to 40 minutes.

Great place and location!
Had a great time! Place was clean with everything we needed for our stay. There were little treats waiting for us after a long journey to Switzerland. Ralph was very helpful with ideas for excursions and places to eat in the area. Supermarket was a few minutes away by walking. Weather was perfect and mountains were picturesque. Loved it here! Train station is just across the street to get around without a car. We recommend staying here!

Ski und Stadt
Wir haben mit unseren beiden Söhnen eine abwechlungsreiche und entspannte Faschingswoche 2023 in der Ferienwohnung GERLIS verbracht. Der Wohnungsschlüssel war, wie angekündigt, bereits im Briefkasten deponiert, man muß halt nur im richtigen Briefkasten suchen. Ralph hat das Mißverständinis schnell aufgelöst und uns gleich in die Wohnung eingewiesen. Das ganze Haus ist stilsicher und geschmackvoll im Shabby-Look durchgestylt und ein schöner Kontrast zur alpenländischen Rustikalität der meisten anderen Ferienunterkünfte. Wohnung und Küche sind komplett ausgestattet, das Bad basic, aber alles top sauber und gepflegt. Ausdrücklich erwähnen möchten wir, daß die Wohnung während unseres Aufenthaltes jederzeit gut zu beheizen war - das haben wir schon anders erlebt. Von der Unterkunft ist Luzern mit PKW und Zug (Bahnhof gegenüber) schnell erreicht, genauso wie die Skigebiete Meiringen und Melchsee/Frutt, das uns bislang nicht bekannt war, aber am besten gefallen hat (schneesichere Nordhänge, weitläufig und auch an den Faschingstagen nicht überfüllt). Alles in allem ein sehr schöner entspannter Urlaub in einer etwas anderen Ferienunterkunft. Wir kommen gerne wieder

Aufenthalt während unserer Schweizerreise
Die Ferienwohnung hat eine idealen Standort. Bahnhof befindet sich direkt vor dem Haus. Super Verbindungen, um viele verschiedene Orte in der Zentralschweiz kennenzulernen. Unkomplizierte und freundliche Vermieter der Wohnung. Einrichtung sehr heimelig und gemütlich. Als einziges haben wir einen Wohnraum mit Sofa vermisst - doch man organsiert sich mit dem was es hat. Herzlichen Dank für die Gastfreundschaft.
