Current information: Between September 2018 and June 2019 is located at the neighboring house and thus directly from the apartment a construction site. (The neighboring house is being renovated.) During the night (between 20 and 7 o'clock) however no building work may be carried out. Also on Sundays and holidays there is no construction work. Nevertheless, the atmosphere is naturally affected by the construction site. We rent the apartment during this period much cheaper and only for longer stays.
Revitalized in the year 2017 with attention to detail, the Altstadthaus is remarkably located just 100 meters from the Salzburg Cathedral, 500 meters from the Festspielhaus and directly at the foot of the Hohensalzburg Fortress. The house is traffic-free and quiet. It is located in the heart of the medieval Old Town, framed only by buildings of the Archdiocese of Salzburg. Despite its central location, there are no tourist flows around the house as the house is set back slightly on a quiet square. The main attractions and venues such as the Festspielhaus, the Getreidegasse, the Domquartier, Mozart's birthplace, the fortress, etc., can be reached completely free of traffic and comfortably through the pedestrian zone. You live in the neighborhood of the cathedral square (150 meters), the famous performances of the "Everyman" are almost in the ring :-)
The apartment is located on the ground floor, the entrance is on the front (towards Domplatz, Kapitelplatz). The apartment extends over the entire floor. Distribution: Entrance hall, open plan kitchen with dining and living area (including sofa bed), 1 bedroom with double bed, 1 bathroom.

The old town of Salzburg is well connected by public transport. Parking is within walking distance. A large parking garage is located about 500 meters away.
