Photos and Description of this Emigrant holiday house

4 bedrooms, 3-1/2 bathrooms, sleeps 12

Make our gorgeous Montana home near Yellowstone Park your vacation destination this summer! Rocky Mountain Heights is a lovely welcoming home, ideal for family vacations and reunions in the Yellowstone Park area. In every direction are breathtaking scenes of the Yellowstone River, Paradise Valley and Emigrant Peak. The home’s two decks are great for viewing and just for relaxing with a barbecue cook-out as you enjoy the scenery.

There are two very comfortable living spaces - a spacious living and dining area with cozy gas fireplace, and a gathering/game room with table tennis, pool table, and loungers for TV or movie watching (DVD library available).

Also nearby is historic Chico Hot Springs Resort with its natural hot springs pool, trails rides, sporting clays, day spa, and exceptional dining. Other activities in the Valley include whitewater rafting, scenic flights, guided trips and tours into the Park, art galleries, rodeos in June and July, and in August, the Fiddler’s picnic.

Shopping: In the nearby small town of Emigrant you’ll find a well-stocked grocery store, bank, post office, gas station, gift store, fly fishing store, cafe, bar and restaurant. A little further north you will find the towns of Livingston and Bozeman with more options for shopping and dining.

Sleeping Accommodations: The home has two master suites on the main floor, one with a king bed and spacious bathroom with a beautiful tiled shower. The other suite has a queen bed and private bathroom with a tub/shower. Downstairs are two more bedrooms - one with a queen bed and the other has twin bunks. Further sleeping space is available using two loungers in the family room which open out to full sized beds, each accommodating two people for sleeping. A third full bathroom serves this floor.

We look forward to welcoming you to Paradise Valley and our beautiful Montana home, a place to make your vacation something special you may remember for many years to come.

we stayed in Paradise Valley for 6 nights during the last week of September. The house fit our needs perfectly. we had a very small group so we did not use the entire place but it could easily accommodate 3 to 4 couples. The house is extremely nice and clean. comfortable bed. It has a well equipped kitchen, large living dining room, and a large master bedroom/bath. It also had a nice game room with a pool table and ping pong in case the weather was not so nice outside. the views from the living room, kitchen, and upstairs bedroom are magnificent. the neighborhood is extremely quiet, and plan to see lots of deer in the area and close to the house. the house is located about half way between Livingston and Yellowstone park entrance. we visited Yellowstone 2 of our 6 days and it is about a 30 to 45 minute drive to the park entrance but the drive is gorgeous. One day we drove the Beartooth Highway and looped back thru Red Lodge and up to I-90. long day but definitely worth the drive if the weather is good. Emigrant is close by (about 3 miles) and has a cute bakery. we had a few sandwiches made to go one morning to take on our drive. Very good. Mary, the owner of the house, was very easy to work with and very responsive when we had questions. She has a great list of restaurants and things to do in the area. One thing to note is the BBQ place in Emigrant closes for the season in late September so we just missed it. We also went to Pine Creek Lodge about 30 minutes away on the River Road to listen to live music Friday night. Very cool! the owners are really nice too. never made it to Chico Hot Springs restaurant. it was booked even on a weeknight and we did not plan ahead with reservations. In Livingston, about 30 minutes away from the house, the 2nd street Bistro is excellent, probably the best restaurant in town. if you don't have reservations, I would still try to get a table. we were there on Friday night and got there around 6 and got a table in the bar.

overall we had a great time in Montana. we would definitely go back and rent this house again.

thank you Mary for the opportunity to enjoy your beautiful home

August. 2016

We rented this property for a few days in August, there were a total of 9 people including several visitors from the UK.

We had a wonderful time the home was just as advertised very clean and comfortable and we experienced no issues at all.

All of the necessities such as bedding, cleaning supplies, pots, pans etc ready to use all we had to do was bring the food.

The location was ideal for us with a 30 minute drive either way to get to YNP or Livingstone yet secluded enough to enjoy the mountain air and the peace and quiet.

Despite arriving later at night we found the home with no issues thanks to the directions Mary forwarded to us prior to the trip.

Would definitely stay here again.....great place to visit.

The property was very nice but what sells it is the view. The view is amazing

Mary Wallace was very nice to work with along with her staff. When we arrived we were told that the renters before us had broke the washer. Mary told us when it would be fixed and even offered to bring another washer in for us. On the day the washer was to be fixed she came and brought a new washer apologizing for our inconvenience. There were 6 adults and 2 teens so it was appreciated.

The house is 1/2 hour from Yellowstone Park and Mary gave a list of what to do in the area, If you want to see wildlife in the park go to Lamar Valley later afternoon are best, our car was surrounded by buffalo it was awesome as we had our grandkids with us. Chico Hot Springs to go horseback riding and relax in the pool. Flying Pig for rafting which is in Gardiner , the town with the park entrance. Emigrant is very tiny but has a great bakery shop but get there early as everything sells out fast.

We would recommend this property very highly as being close to everything but a great place to relax and talk about the days adventures.

Thanks Mary for sharing your home with us.

A wonderful home away from home!

  • 5 of 5

We enjoyed a fabulous vacation in Yellowstone and surrounding environs and the Mary Wallace home added greatly to our enjoyment of the experience. Almost everything we needed was already in the house. It was homey, comfortable and well appointed. There was plenty of room for the 7 adults and two children who were in our party. Three full bathrooms made getting ready in the morning very efficient and the separation of the bedrooms afforded privacy for each of the families on our group. We used the pool table and pingpong table only briefly, but had the weather not been beautiful every day of our visit, we would certainly have made good use of them. The views from the house are spectacular and deer came right up in the yard; one even looked in a bathroom window! The house is nicely situated relative to the park and to local hiking opportunities. Access to the house is very easy although you might want to make your very first approach in the daylight to aid in finding the road off of Rt. 89. Once you have done it, there is no problem. If we return to Yellowstone in the future, I will certainly reserve the Mary Wallace house again.

Our vacation home is situated in the very heart of the Paradise Valley. In just about 5 minutes you can be down at the Yellowstone river - fishing, rafting, or swimming at the little “beach” by the Emigrant Fishing access.

Here you are ideally located for outdoor adventures - an easy drive to Yellowstone National Park (30 min) with its fishing, hiking, geysers, waterfalls, fabulous wildlife viewing, and my personal favorite for mineral soaks- the Boiling River Hot Springs.

Other Activities: Boating, rock climbing, kayaking
