Overlooking Bellingham Bay with an ever changing view to the west. The flat is the upper level unit of this classic craftsman building with the owners living unit. Completely updated yet retains its 110 year old charm with ten foot ceilings and craftsmen woodwork throughout making this a memorable getaway. Two large casement windows open wide to bring the amazing view right into the living room. Comfortably sleeping 5 with three bedrooms and two baths one featuring a giant tub with a view of the bay. Our booking is based on a SLIDING SCALE with base rate for up to 3 guests of $175.00 per night; 4 guests $225.00 per night and 5 guests $275.00 per night. The kitchen features hardwood floors, granite counters and service for up to 9. A large deck with gas BBQ adjacent to the kitchen dining area is great for outside entertaining with a private garden featuring a Koi pond. Located in a quiet corner of the South Hill neighborhood with street parking and both Fairhaven shopping district and downtown Bellingham only about a mile away.

About Chris Volker

This rather large King crab came to dinner with a couple of his friends when we where visiting our son and his family in Korea. Most of the time we are in Bellingham maintaining the property you see in the pictures. My wife and I live in the downstairs flat.

We have owned this classic home for 17 years and have made the upper flat available as a VRBO property. It took a while to put everything in order but the work has been worth it. The photos tell it all. The flats are completely separate from each other.

We so enjoyed our visit to the South Hill Flat in Bellingham❤️The owners are responsive, considerate and accommodating! Very nice neighborhood location that is convenient to downtown, WWU, and Fairhaven. The property is very well maintained and has great views of Bellingham Bay, San Juan Islands, and mountains in British Columbia.

Western Washington University is 2 blocks away with downtown Bellingham and historic Fairhaven equal distance and both easily reached by the interurban trail 2 blocks below by the bay. Lots of parking on the street. The convenience of location makes it easy to get to where you want to go. Take a water taxi to the San Juan Islands from Fairhaven. One hour to Vancouver B.C. or an hour and a half to Mt. Baker or Seattle. You will quickly see Bellingham has unlimited activities to offer with a central hub location.
