About Jan or Jim McDaniel, owners
This photo is of the owners, hiking in one of hundreds of slot canyons in Escalante-Grand Staircase National Monument, east of Bryce Canyon. We love this area and will never tire of exploring it. And there is no end to the wonders available to explore!

Why Jan or Jim McDaniel, owners chose Duck Creek Village
We have visited and enjoyed many of our nation's parks and wilderness areas. We think Southern Utah is one of the most beautiful areas in the country, with an array of what are some of the most beautiful and accessible national parks and monuments. We have been coming to the area for several years, drawn by the beauty and wide variety of outdoor activities. We finally decided we needed to own a little piece of this incredible place. With breathtaking natural wonders any way you drive, all within close proximity, you can't beat this location. If you love nature and experiencing the outdoors, as we do, you will be amazed at this part of southern Utah, and you will love our cozy and friendly cabin in Duck Creek.
What makes this Cabin unique
There is something magical about this cabin. So many of our guests - and we ourselves - have said that the minute you walk into our cabin, you can feel it. Instant relaxation comes over you! And a feeling of warmth and coziness and welcome. Come experience it yourselves! Please note: Duck Creek, and our cabin, are located within and surrounded by National Forest. While we have a lot of cabins and a few businesses in the Village, the area is generally minimally developed, which adds to the feeling of being "away from it all". We are at 8200 feet elevation, which makes our weather lovely in the summer. But it can be quite cold in the winter, with some years, a lot of snow. If you are visiting in winter, you need to be prepared to drive on snowy roads, and have a vehicle that can handle snow and rugged winter conditions. Having an AWD or a 4WD vehicle is recommended.
100% refund if cancelled at least 60 days before arrival date.
The cabin was very cozy. It felt like home away from home. Everything we needed and more was provided for us. We saw two deer right next to the cabin. We are already looking to rent this place again in the near future.
Had a great time, really enjoyed the location and wildlife.
Great time in the cool pines!
Very comfortable cabin. Great location for our day trips and a great place to relax in the evening. We loved it!
This was our first time renting a cabin in Duck Creek. We were very pleased with the location, the property and dealing with the owners. The cabin was fully equipped with everything we needed. It was very clean and cozy. Absolutely loved our stay.
The owners also made everything very easy. They provided detailed instructions, maps, things to do, and we very friendly to deal with. We will definitely book this property again.
Cabin in Duck Creek
We had such a great trip. Access to National Parks was ideal as well as fantastic day spent in Duck Creek. Jan gave us the best notes on places to visit and trails to take. Cabin was clean and well kept. Thanks for giving our family an unforgettable experience.
Great getaway in the woods!
We had a lovely week at this charming cabin in the woods. We selected this cabin due to proximity to our family staying nearby and I’m so glad we did. Jan was great to work with from the first inquiry and gave us plenty of information to ensure our stay was seamless. The cabin is exactly as pictured, if not even cuter! It was very clean and well appointed with everything one would need for a comfortable stay. Great location to make day trips to Bryce, Zion, etc and explore the local lakes for fishing. Thank you for sharing your lovely cabin with us Jan!
