Where a man made cabin meets the White River. This inviting cabin has 2 bedrooms + convertible bed, 2 full baths and sleeps 7-9 persons. The Cabin is located about 7 miles outside the town of Norfork, Arkansas. One of the perks about this cabin is you will also be only 15 miles away from the beautiful Norfork Lake.
Cabin 1 has everything you need to have a relaxing get away. The kitchen is fully equipped with pots, pans, and utensils for all your cooking needs. You will be able to enjoy our covered front and back decks with all the sights and sounds of nature. So, when you are here make sure to shut off the electronics and let reality disappear for a while. Don't forget to enjoy our large front yard for family fun and games with the kids.
For the fishermen in the family you will be able to enjoy the endless trout fishing. There is a private walkway right in the cabins backyard that leads you to one of the greatest fishing holes around. Also, if you have your own boat, there is a public boat ramp less than a mile drive down the road. But don't worry if you don't have a boat or just left it at home, there are two great companies we recommend for all your fishing needs. (See info on Activities page)
At the end of the day sit back and forget about your everyday troubles by enjoying the amazing sunsets on the White River and maybe see some wildlife from the spacious back deck.

We rented this cabin recently with another couple. It was close to the White River and we fished right out in front and caught trout. We fished one day with guides and had a great time and caught a lot of trout and had a great shore lunch. The cabin was very clean and had 2 very large picture windows with a great view of the White River. We spent a lot of time on the huge deck that overlooked the river. We even saw a roadrunner in the yard as well as eagles on the river. The kitchen was fully equipped for cooking. There was a fire pit facing the river. We will be back.
We rented this beautiful cabin with another couple very recently. It is tucked away in a valley next to the white River. The first thing you see when you walk in the door is the view through two large picture windows. It also has an expansive deck with comfortable chairs to relax and get mesmerized by the river going by. I spent a lot of time out there watching the critters!
The cabin is nicely furnished and cool artwork. The beds were very comfy. The kitchen has everything you need except the food. There was no cell phone reception or Internet, but guess what? We survived just fine! They have a few important perks for a rental. Toilet paper, paper towels, and extra garbage bags. We rent on vrbo frequently and this was a first!
My brother in law fished every day and caught fish everyday. There are some very cool things nearby. We went to Blanchard Springs Cavern and it was amazing. There is a restaurant called PJ's that you can walk to in 3 minutes if you don't want to cook. If you go in the fall take some bug repellent. A little prevention goes a long way.
The whole experience was terrific and I would highly recommend this rental. We never got to meet Steve and Lisa, but everything was perfect!
Thank you Steven & Lisa, what an amazing get away for me and my family! The cabin was beyond clean and cozy and the views are stunning. It was such a pleasure for my electronics to be turned off and enjoy the sound of the river passing by. The walk from the back deck to the river was about 30 feet and the ability to go fishing any time was so much fun! We even cooked our catch over the open flame fire pit located in the back yard of the cabin! So Yummy! We also met some amazing people passing by on the river. We would highly recommend this beautiful cabin for anyone trying to have a relaxing nature fishing filled vacation!
The "R" Family
We stayed in the cabin for my husbands birthday weekend with our 5 year old daughter, which was his first time trout fishing. We were SO pleased with it- beautiful cabin! Great view of the river and some what secluded at the end of the road. River is just a short walk down the hill from the cabin. Very clean and well furnished.
We will be back for sure!
Having has a long career in the travel business I am very critical of brochures, descriptions and even photos. While driving around on a previous visit to ths area I had seen this property and thought "how nice"!
When a friend from NC said fishing in this area was high on her bucket list I immediately knew where we should stay.
Arkansas is the "Natural State" and rightfully so.
This is a relatively remote area with great natural resources.
The house is wonderful!!! Very open with kitchen, dining, living all framed by two large windows facing the White River.
A large deck partially covered.
The king bedroom with ensuite bath opens onto the deck.
The second bedroom has a queen bed and also a bunk bed with a full bed on the bottom. Large closets. And the second bath just outside the door.
Even a laundry room with washer and dryer...really great when you are fishing.
You can find less expensive accommodations but not a better value.
The property is three miles off the highway. From the turn off it's five miles to Norfork.
We had one rain day and enjoyed the house and watching wildlife. Due to high water we did not get to experience fishing at
the house...and we really preferred a guide!
And the fishing was great. My friend caught a 20" brown! Nice.
The property and grounds were very clean and well kept.
It was a pleasure to deal with the owners from the beginning. We had lots of questions and answers were prompt, accurate and with concern for our enjoyment.
"Dining" is limited and you might check to see which days restaurants below serve lunch and/or dinner.

Mt Home is the next "large" town if you must have fast food.
Coming or going don't miss Blanchard Springs Caverns. They are beautiful and handicap friendly. Check for tour times.
Good fishing to you!!!
Relaxed on the deck overlooking the White River. Caught tons of trout in the backyard. There is so much to do in the area. Amazing value for the money.
The White River Get Away Cabin is directly located on the White River, outside the small town of Norfork, Arkansas. For your convenience there is a boat ramp located less than a mile from the cabin or we have a personal walkway to the river. Try your luck at fly fishing or take your boat to other areas on the White River, plus if you would like to try the Norfork River (leads right into the White River) it's only about 8 miles from the cabin.
