This chalet offers privacy with no other cabins in sight, but with a great view of Ober Gatlinburg from the screened back porch which has a swing and rockers for relaxing. It's located high enough to offer a nice view, without having to go up a lot of steep winding roads.
It's within 5 minutes of Dollywood and the public golf course and 10 minutes to great food and shows along the Parkway in Pigeon Forge. It even has a wedding chapel within walking distance.
There's a hot tub off the back porch and inside there's a jetted tub in the downstairs bathroom where 2 of the bedrooms are located. The second bedroom and 2nd bathroom are located upstairs. Each bedroom has TV with DVD. For additional entertainment, there's a pool table upstairs.
Lamps and a bedspread in the chalet are designs of the Hautman Brothers who are wildlife artists with works in Smithsonian and the White House.

Nice view with privacy, but convenient to Dollywood & attractions along the Parkway.
Nice size porch (8' x 38') with rockers & swing to enjoy the mountain view. The porch is screened to keep out insects & a good place for pets to enjoy being outside without worrying about them wandering off or other animals attacking them.
The Smokies are beautiful - so grateful we were able to see them. The cabin is cute, love the porch. The boys loved the pool table. WE WILL HAVE MANY FOND MEMORIES OF STAYING HERE.
Me and my family had a great time. The cabin was nice and close to Dollywood and nearby attractions. We look forward to returning next year. Thanks for everything.
We would like to thank Andy and Jane for renting us their cabin. The owners were wonderful to work with and made sure our trip was a positive experience. The cabin was very clean. We also appreciated that the cabin was pet friendly. We got to enjoy our trip with our Shellie Bryce.
We came for a short visit wanting to relax and refresh ourselves......that's just what we got!!Thank you so much for the use of your cabin. We loved the fact that it was away from everything but yet close enough to get to things in no time. The whole area has changed since the last time we were there(10 years or more).Thank you for suggesting place to see, do and eat at. The cabin was the perfect size for us, the view from the porch was great. Thank you for the restful weekend !!
We came for a car show and this was the perfect place for us. We have stayed at the owners cabins in the past also and each one is perfect. They go out of their way to make your stay as positive as can be. They even send you lists of ideas of things to do, places to see & eat, great directions and about anything else you could think of. The cabin is beautiful and has all the comforts of home. It is secluded yet close enough to be on the parkway in ten minutes or so, close to all the action. We will be trying to get this cabin when we go back next time. Thanks for everything!!!
Five of us - my brother and his wife, our mom, myself and my little boy - spent four days at Dolly's Shadow last week. The cabin was homey and cozy, like spending the night at Grandma's house. Except for the fall leaves it looked exactly as it does in the website photos. Dolly's Shadow is perfectly located with respect to local sights and activities. The owners were gracious and helpful in providing us tips on how to optimize our few days there, and we had a blast! In four days we experienced just about every kind of food, fun and WEATHER early spring in the Smokies can throw at you! We spent our first drippy, foggy morning in the cabin, then later ventured out to a couple of wine tastings, followed by a HUGE dinner at the Old Mill Restaurant. The next day was bright and sunny but the wind made it bitter cold! We rode the Trolley about town, hit another wine tasting then spent a few hours at The Island -- ate pomme frites at Poyner's, watched and sampled fudge making, enjoyed the dancing waters fountain and my son and I did the mirror maze and Ferris wheel (w/ glass-enclosed, HEATED cars - thank you!). Day 3 was sunny and warmer with no wind, perfect for an afternoon on Parrot Mountain. Yes, we now have family photos with tropical birds on our heads :-) But our last full day was my favorite... after a huge homemade breakfast in the cabin -- steak and eggs, hash browns, cheese grits, biscuits w/ local "mountain berry" preserves and lots of coffee -- we took off for Smoky Mountain Nat'l Park and Cade's Cove to walk it off. I wish I could post pictures but they wouldn't do it justice - it was spectacular! Bright and sunny one minute and huge banks of black clouds blowing heavy snow showers the next, off and on all afternoon. The sunny meadows and dark mountains in the Cove were a perfect backdrop for such a display - it was surreal! I can't describe the awesome beauty of God's creation in that place. And throughout our short but oh-so-sweet visit, Dolly's Shadow was a perfect home away from home for what, according to our 8 year old, was the BEST. SPRING BREAK. EVER! To the owners, thank you SO MUCH for helping make our little extended family get-away a precious lifetime memory. Your gracious and generous hospitality are deeply appreciated! Blessings to you both!
The cabin was exceptional. Very cozy, clean, could not have stayed anywhere else and it feel like your at home. Everything you need is with a couple mins away if not already there. The view is absolutely breath taking. The owners are very helpful with any information that you may need about the area. They gave us tips and must visit prior to our arrival. The cleaners are very polite does a wonderful job and must say if they lived close by I'd hire them at home. If there was any problems we had all contact information to contact each and everyone in case of an emergency. I can honestly say that I would recommend this cabin to anyone who would listen. It's family friendly as well as and all adult excursion. This is a highly recommended cabin for future stays. Thank you so much and God bless!!
